Age of the the game with the $50 cost for the complete experience makes this a no go for me.

Release date for the DLC? Existing mod compatibility? If I buy the DLC, it's gonna be my third full playthrough, and I'm used to the rescale and custom HUD mods..

Also, I think that if you supported and preordered MW5 back in the day, the DLC should really be cheaper than 20$..

15$ would be more appropriate, no?

I play(ed) it on epic and I still like it.
It's not as iconic as the MW2 games, but it's a great game that got even better with mods.

Now i was waiting for the release in hope that the modders would pick up where they stopped (because of quirks comming with the dlc).

Some people voted the April patch with their wallet by buying the Stryker pack.
I have too many mechs here in MWO, so i support them by buying the DLC (and maybe gifting it in steam to my friends, so we can play together).

The source code was designed to be *optionally* flipped. A hard coded value was set in one layer one way and the option was set to the other in the layer above it. It's like the smallest bug ever that you yourself fixed in a mod to your liking. Hardly a hill to die on, really.

Not everyone looks at it the same way, some interpret it as a 3d object's front view, others as self in a mirror. That's why it should be an option to have it either way.

That's the thing that keeps me from "playing" MW5 as devs intended. Could not go through the game due to that.
I legit get headaches and feel disoriented with that paperdoll.

Then I began modding the game rather than playing it.

My total "PLAY" time in MW5 is less than 4 hours.

It's the easiest thing to fix in a mod. I know... but after a HDD loss in February I'm not going through installing the editor just to fix this.... otherwise I would just updating all my mods.

Besides, when you are releasing to Xbox... your go to argument for not changing a hard number input should not be: "don't like it?... mod it then!"

Nice trailer! Like others have commented, going to wait for the base game to go on sale to buy it and the DLC. Otherwise can't wait to waste countless hours in the mechlab!

Plz tell your artists to check the loadout in game before they draw it next time, not the first time they gave you impossible builds. This time there's no RFL variant with torso ballistics. And, well, 3xLB10+2xML... hilariously slow and fragile.

To Navid's earlier point, I think there are still some unresolved issues with the game that should be worked on. For first person camera bobbing/inertia, there definitely should be a slider option in the menu to allow the user to choose the level of that behavior. Most FPS games have some form of this...think about it, even Crysis in 2006 had a weapon inertia slider. This should not be that hard to do.

Accessibility is top of mind...more people should be able to enjoy the game without feeling physically ill. Please PGI be smart about this. Even if you place a warning about flashing sequences and seizures, it does NOT make it OK to include those things in EXCESS throughout the game. I have brought this up before, even people without medical conditions are not going to be ok with all the flashing in the game. I'm sick and tired of closing my eyes every single time a VTOL/helicopter crashes down somewhere nearby and causes a blinding flash across my screen. Or when brawling and a mech's center torso gets cored...another unnecessary blinding blue flash of light right in my face. Or when shooting ballistics more unnecessary flashing. I do not see a whole lot of other games doing this and for good reason...there is no point in hurting people's eyes just for faux realism.

Please PGI, seriously consider removing all of the unnecessary flashes, so more people can enjoy the game.

Thank you.

Are we going to have to wait until the mech 5 release date to get the Clan Booster announcement?

Fair point. Definitely something that should go in the options menu. It's like one node to change to passthrough and hooking it to an option menu item. Certainly doable.

If you need a mod for it, you know the rest of the modders got you covered if you don't want to putz with it.

DLC is the 27th also.

We (modders) don't know about mod compatibility for sure yet. Some of the big mods certainly will need an update to work or will have some bugs if they do work (like custom HUD not having UI for the new features yet). We won't have an updated editor to patch up mods until 27th or possibly later, so can't get it ready for Day 0 ahead of time.

Hopefully, a lot of mods will just update the editor, recompile, repack and be fine, but the more systems they touch, the more unlikely it is, basically.

Not quite sold, needs more low-hanging puns.

Annihilate or die
This Brian isn't going to cache itself
Wear a mask, there's Corsair.
Who can? Vulcan!
Charge-r into battle
If you want energy, use a Charger.
Don't be nervous, be Dervish.
Hatful-of-Macha-Tea
one and a third the Marauder, II-thirds the speed.
Featuring the 30th century form of Electronic Dance Music....ECM.

I'll see myself out.

When do Steam sales usually happen?
Steam sales (usually) occur at regular times of the year. By looking back at Steam sale dates from the last few years we can guess approximate dates for 2021.

Steam sales tend to start at at 6pm BST/1pm EDT/10am PDT on the third or fourth Thursday of their respective month, with the exception of Autumn/Black Friday sales, which have landed on Wednesdays in the last few years.

Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2021: February 11th - February 15th, 2021

Steam Golden Week Sale 2021: April 29th - May 6th, 2021

Steam Spring Sale 2021: May 27th - 31st, 2021

Steam Summer Sale 2021: June 24th - July 8th, 2021

Steam Halloween Sale 2021: Likely the end of October 2021

Steam Black Friday/Autumn Sale 2021: Likely November 24th, 2021

Steam Winter Sale 2021: December 2021

Lol. Apparently there's going to be a sale during the release date of MW5.

If it sticks to it's guns of 30$ for the game, and the paywalled fix of 20$ to the DLC, at the total of 50$, this game is going to get ignored for the cheaper actually good game.

Remember when you lot used CP2077 for scapegoat? If MW5 and DLC didn't get a hefty discount, while CP2077 goes down 50% I'm going to buy that instead just for spite.

Yeah, since we're having a Wishlist of things that we want to see fixed:

> Separate Instant Action Mech Lab

Seriously, there are times I just want to build mechs. I don't want to have to generate a mission before I could get to the pilot roster to pick a mech, and then edit said mech. HBS BattleTech got the right idea.

> In-Between mission events

Also pointing back to battletech. Remember when your pilots would have some story time to time? Those events as you waited between missions telling minor stories, that felt like pilots are actual people. When they were celebrating birthdays and you have an option to do it on the lounge -- when they skinny-dipped on 0G Pool, or the celebration of the first harvest in the Hydroponics. Those events would have been nice, and helps characterizing your crew.

Sold Out are a specialist retailer for out of date, aged and forgotten games that have a slight chance of a revival . . . . . budget wise, more often than not, 25% or less of the original game.

Sold Out is part of EG7 umbrella group, as is PGI now.

Eg7 is the holding company of both PGI and EG7.

Sold Out is game publisher for this MW5 for GOG/Steam/Xbox.

PGI is game developer for this MW5 for GOG/Steam/Xbox.

What is the difference?

My guess is that Sold Out gets most of the recurring game revenue when players buy the MW5/DLC game.

My guess (and it's a guess) is that PGI as game developer gets an one-off fee for writing this MW5/DLC game for GOG/Steam/Xbox, and perhaps gets a small portion of this recurring game revenue (ie: I guess that Sold Out gets most of the recurring game revenue).

Again, just my own guess.

'Mech the fourth'. Yeah, that's kind of a terrible joke. But ehh, still looking forward to picking up this game on GOG. :P
