Cool pack, pre-ordered. Nice choice to add ECM to the Timby and DWF.

Only thing that confused me is the Bounty Hunter not being a hero mech? Feels like it needs to be a hero mech.

Hero 'mechs always have a unique camo and loadout, always have a 30% CB Boost, and are only ever available for MC. The reason I asked about it, is because up 'til now, (with the exception of the Corsair, that we won't get into), all 'mechs that are supposedly "line troop" variants are available for CB, while all supposedly "one-off" unique customized builds of a particular famous person are categorized as "hero" 'mechs, to keep them distinguished from each other. In this case, the TBR-BH is the unique, customized ride of The Bounty Hunter, and technically should be carrying the same paint scheme as the Marauder of the same name, since that's how the Bounty Hunter painted all his 'mechs. Conversely, it would lock the TBR ECM torso behind a paywall (you could only ever get it for real money) which has been a complaint in the past.

I say make it a proper hero mech. Only tricky bit then is what to do with the (S) variant in the pack, as a hero mech never gets an (S) variant designation. Maybe sweeten the deal, and make the pack (1) TBR-Bounty Hunter, and (1) TBR-new standard letter variant(S).

Currently in-game we have the PRIME, A, C, D, S, WARRANT.

That leaves the B, E, F, H, M, N, T, U, W, and Z.

Z could be a good standard variant to offer ECM on a non-paywall standard variant (for MWO just make the 'Nova CEWS' an ECM module).

W could be a Timby with MASC.

B, E, H, N, M, T are possible but may not bring anything additional to the table.

U and F not really applicable to MWO.

Yeah baby! Make the pack a:
TBR-Z(S)
TBR-BOUNTY HUNTER (hero!)
DWF-C
DWF-C(S)

I'm fine with anything, just seems weird having a Bounty Hunter not as a proper hero mech.

Dude we have C3i free in every mech we should get the watchdog CEWS not the Nova CEWS. Also the Nova CEWS generates heat while the Watchdog doesn't... the only diffrence is that the NOVa has a limited C3 computer which we already have for free so.

Also I have no idea why you guys keep complaining about it not being a hero mech the (S) get the c-bill boost why do you need 3 of the four mechs with a c-bill boost?

It honestly has nothing to do with the CB boost. I've got too many CB as it is. Instead, it's the deviation from established format, and in my case, I was merely curious. The TBR-BH is a one-off build used by a particular character (The Bounty Hunter), and in that case, also has an established outward appearance. Injecting it into the game as a line-troop build deviates from established format, that's all.

I know that people are disappointed by the Timberwolf BH not having its signature scheme so I made a workaround for it. All you need is the Jade Falcon Skin Pattern, Chrome Oxide, Honey Yellow (or any yellow of your choice) and the I and C logos and voila! Timber Wolf BH Scheme:

Falcons are not Wardens though, have to wait for the Crusader pack.

I get where you are coming from with the paint. I just made this as an alternative to the Timber Wolf BH scheme. And the Warden Booster's pack name makes sense. In lore the Timber Wolf and Dire Wolf were both made by Clan Wolf (a Warden Clan before the Refusal War, but became Crusader afterwards). Therefore, both are Warden Mechs.

If we are going to have a Crusader Clan Booster Pack though, I'd rather it be called "The Crusade" with Crusader Clan Mechs as the focus. It would be good to distance itself for a potential "Crusader" Mechpack.

True, if they ever release the Crusader.

And finally an Elemental "bolt on", although I still wish it was a consumable that made Elementals jump off your mech onto a nearby enemy mech and do damage over time for a short period of time and then jump off.

I agree completely. I know some BT and MW5 modders that will be giddy about it though.

In the light of the upcoming and appreciated clan-booster I just felt like sharing how happy I am 'bout the general and reciprocal momentum that MWO started to build up since March (despite some technical drawbacks here 'n there). Kudos to the community in general, the Gulag/Cauldron especially and - last not but least - those folks at PGI that are taking care of MWO at the moment! Heard a lot of positive feedback and comeback-activity over the last couple of weeks via certain channels and I hope ye are able to live up to the (more realistic) expectations (at least) that started to bloom in terms of MWO having some sort of short- to mid-term sustainable future.

For those who still feel dissatisfied: feel encouraged to voice your concerns while backing em up with arguments and without being too biased and/or self-centered in your judgement. Please keep in mind this has only been one first step on a long way of making MWO a better version of what is is now for everybody. Still => trying to square the circle by catering everybody's needs at once is an endeavor doomed to failure.

So while having different views on the best way to go is only natural once one keeps the different interest groups in mind, please keep it conversational - even if your proposals are not taken into account (for now) - and pragmatically support other proposals / different views being implemented instead - at least if they do not diametrically differ from what you'd expect.

We should be able to find some common ground and even satisfaction in the endeavor of prolonging MWOs lifetime and some long-term betterment for all players by bolstering up the playerbase and improving the core-game bit by bit ... and the latest changes certainly achieved that.

Can't tell if there is some kind of long-term future for a high-quality pvp-sim-orientied iteration of the BT-franchise, but present actions certainly show there is potential once folks start to rally behind a common goal - even if it is only a belove-hated space-opera video game.

I wish there was an option to purchase the mechs separately for $10. I'd consider buying the Timber Wolf, I really don't care about the Dire Wolf.

This is more of a personal position. I had enough of that meat-grinder in open beta, so until it is back to normal I will take my time and money elsewhere. Speaking of which, the 2021 roadmap does mention separating the queues, but otherwise there has been no information about it to my knowledge, and the opinion on the forums is kind of mixed. I wonder what does the Cauldron think about this...

It is okay. Voting with your wallet is the only effective way of showing the company if you are satisfied with their product or not.

personally i'd rather have the exp boost i've got c-bills like crazy now , though for new players i can see where the c-bill boost would help but for players like me who've been playing since the relase of the founders packs.... I don't really need c-bills that much i need EXp to skill out my mechs, hopefully they don't totally mess up the skill tree I've finally got it to where i like it, best thing they could do is either combine some nodes into higher percentages so you have to spend less points on others or split some trees up a little.

I understand.
5 yrs ago I stopped playing mwo when I hit mid tier 3. The stomps from tier 1 groups and the tier 1 gameplay was boring AF.
Now Im mid tier 4, so its possible, it will end the same way...............
Solution will be, that Tier 1 could meet only tier 2 (not tier 3 like it is now). But IMHO devs dont listen to this.......

Actually Clan wolf split into Warden and Crusader the Warden part went to the sphere and Formed Clan Wolf In-exile on Arc Royal the rest stayed in clan space as the Jade Wolves till the khan worked out their freedom, they then became Clan Wolf again, eventually moving to the sphere, I would think considering thier location that Clan wolf may have slowly become Warden minded again especially with the influx of some Warden minded Wolf warriors from the in-exile either way i think their Khan at this time is related to Katherin Steiner-Davion.... though he wanted nothing to do with her. I think he was created using Kathrine and Victor's DNA. https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Alaric_Ward

Unfortunately, it seems the consensus opinion is that if you're not Tier 1, you don't really understand how to play the game and your opinion is weighted less. I definitely agree that the game is WAY more fun at lower tiers, and in groups 100% populated by casual PUG players. Some of the best FP matches I've ever played were ones where there wasn't a single FP Team-member anywhere on either side.
