Get your copy here: Please let me know what to add or change to make it more beneficial for you. Next revision will have:
  • Nicer charts with slicers
  • Interval performance views
It's been a long while since I posted https://mwomercs.com...35#entry6110735

Now, using Google Sheets instead of Microsoft Excel, I made some pretty charts, pivot tables, and, yes, a Loadout Match Performance Estimator. That's all based upon your individual MechWarrior weapons data, copy-and-pasted from https://mwomercs.com...ats?type=weapon into your copy of this Google Sheet
For example, these Match Estimates
  • Loadout Weapons: 5
  • Eff DpS: 0.9
  • DpH: 1.3
  • Dmg: 393.2
  • Heat: 291.4
  • Meta Range: 784
  • Minutes: 7.4
are based upon my weapon stats for:
  • 1 C-LRM 20
  • 1 C-ER LRG LASER
  • 1 C-ER PPC
  • 1 C-LRM 15
  • 1 C-AC/10
To be fair, I've had two good matches today using that with 440 and 480 match damage. And, I added in a Targeting Comp Mk IV, and scored 598 damage. And now, scored 625.

Always trying for luck, and getting better player skills.

Not sure if you realise or not - the TC4 wont be the reason you did slightly more damage. That comes from massive variables
  • Map
  • Mode
  • Enemy team loadout/gameplay
  • Friendly team loadout/gameplay
  • Tier
etc etc.

Yes. Luck and getting better player skills go a long ways. Some matches, the team just sucks. 0:12 with less than 100 damage per. Although, the difference here with the TCIV is roughly 50% above estimates based upon cumulative historic weapon stats data.

Thank you for your sharing!

Is there anywhere in your Google Spreadsheet for Ghost Heat?
(Sorry, looked in there, could not find it...)

eg: New maximum of four (4) IS Large Lasers before ghost heat kicks in, etc....

(fyi, I use the "Smurfy" spreadshoot very similar to yours, but sadly it is rapidly becoming outdated...
and I'm actively looking for viable alternatives, especially Ghost Heat).

Ghost Heat
I hadn't factored in Ghost Heat, making the assumption that applicable buildouts would avoid those. But, I'll add that in.

Pre-Fire time
Thinking through how to include pre-fire time into firing cycle time, and more fairly reflect actual DPS Support Modules and Skills

Obvious modifiers to consider. Unfortunately, painful to incorporate. Someday.

Here is the Smurfy/Equipment (outdated) database & Ghost Heat webpage;
I check this webpage everytime I change equipment on my mech (which is quite often).

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/equipment

You can search under "Heat Penalties per weapon" to see the (outdated) Ghost Heat,
which IMHO is still the best visual representation to date.
3x IS Large Pulse Laser, or
4x IS Large Laser?

What are the damage/heat/slot/weight considerations for above two competing weapons systems on my AS7-BH?
How many of these can I fire at once without Ghost Heat?
etc.

Seeing as you seem to like analyzing MWO stuff like I do, maybe you would be interested in a mech build generator. I posted it on the forum a while ago but apparently no one was interested. If nothing else it has many formulas you might want to pull out of the source code and put into your spreadsheet. If you're interested I can update its data files with the latest patch changes.

Thanks!

That's a great starting reference. Reviewing each of the Patch Notes and compiling info, and going into Mech Lab to trigger the ghost heat warning messages to verify current ghost heat qualifiers. Already completed first pass -- took somewhere around 6 hours.

I'll likely need to do Testing Grounds tests for each configuration to validate current patch level heat penalty effects. We're talking about sampling per weapon and weapon groups.

That translates into many hours after each patch update which modifies weapon behavior. Maybe I should start up a Patreon account?

Interesting, The Caterpillar. I wish you success with making a great loadout generator.

My analytic tools are more for understanding snapshot and trends-over-time with the goal of improving player/Mechwarrior performance.
  • Instead of generating a loadout, this MWO Weapon Stats Google Sheets Loadout Match Performance Estimator estimates match performance based upon the individual player's/Mechwarrior's historic performance with each weapon.
  • Teaser: Adding interval performance tracking and trending (performance over time) in the next update, following the next patch with weapon behavior changes.
  • Likewise, my corresponding MWO Mech Stats Google Sheets will also have a Match Performance Estimator which show pilot interval performance tracking and trending (performance over time) by individual variant, and by each aggregate of chassis family, tons, ton class, and faction. Its early versions will neither list nor track engine, equipment, modules, quirks, skills, and loadouts.
