Set my firing groups to 2 SNPPCs on Left for 16 burst, 4 SNPPCs Right for 32 burst, and the MPL by itself for face tanking.
My first run out was in the steamy Caustic Valley map. You guessed it. 7 kills.

7 kills by inflicting merely 420 damage seems on the low side to me...

By the way, once you get your Ace of Spades for 8 Killing Blows in a game, perhaps it's time to move on...

Haha! Super trying! I feel that this is a headhunting build.
DEFINITELY a headhunting build. Already got a headshot in 4th match using this.

4 SNPPCs:
24 tons 32 damage 28 heat 310m range
2 HPPCs:
20 tons, 30 damage, 27 heat, 621m range
Literally no point in using SNPPCs.

Snub Nose PPC has no minimum range... so is a 100% brawler weapon...

You can use the four spare tons to equip backup weapons.
In any case, better not tell Nightbird about this, snubs are supposed to be poop now.
Good hunting,

The reason most folk like to see both match screens, (With the other names all crossed out an such,) is so they can see how else the match went. If there's a supernova with 800 damage that might mean our pilot was doing some solid aiming, coring expose mechs but the LRM sandblaster got the KMDD credit. If there was a Kodiak-3 with 800 damage maybe our pilot was battle budding it up and got the lucky finishing shots whilst the bear did the heavy lifting.
No disrespect to the pilot, that's just how it reads with 400 damage and seven kills. From here it looks like mostly secures. Which are a valid part of the team since it clears the mech from the field before the enemy can get more damage downrange, but having the team scores really gives us the wider picture.

Solution: add on some MLAS (or MPLS if you free up some tonnage). That's what I've got built on my AQS-8Q and it works great.

I wouldn’t worry about that. A good number of them are turning out to be either Alt accounts of top players “testing to see how long it gets them to T1” (one actually posted a screen shot of his game on these forums), or top players coming back and being placed into T5. When I was checking out player numbers for this month to see where it stood, I noticed a number of familiar names I did not see when I was playing more Sep-Nov 2020. Checked Jarl’s and they were top, players I saw all the time way back that stopped playing. Most seasons they were 98-99%.
So, yes, people at the top of their game, with full stables of mechs, plenty of CBills, plenty of weapons and components to make optimal builds, and enough Mech XP/SP to level them are going up against new players. Never mind that they can also group up with old friends running said Alt accounts.
Good times.

Yep. Mostly after coming back a few weeks ago I've noticed it's a mix of new and old players at the lower tiers. It is good to see there are still some new players. It's not just old players coming back.
Just as a general recommendation for anyone who is still playing in lower tiers: don't be salty at people who are obviously new. Provide feedback that helps them. Bad play? Give recommendations on what to do next time. Encourage voice comms on PUGs.
Yeah, it's frustrating to have a team that goes full potato with a side of chili but it's all a learning process. Like one guy who was screaming at a Marauder player last night who was defaulting arm lock and obviously new? That crap isn't helpful and is a great way to turn people off the game.

No, in general, yeah I concur. I was overheating on rubilte last night, won my brawl and turned off override to cool down when an enemy dual gauss walked around the corner and popped my cockpit whilest I'd been damaged, but yet to have my armour breached. Minimum damage for the kill, and a rather skilled shot as the pilot aimed where my cockpit'd be when I finished powering up since they caught me mid cycle. Smart move, very skilled, low numbers.

Using Jarl’s to,shame someone. Just Wow. Maybe take a look at this season stats for him. Near even K/D and W/L. Highest average match score since 2018. So yeah, I guess it is working out for him.
Seems like somebody is still mad they took away his 300m 50 pinpoint alpha for 4 hardpoint toy. [Redacted]
