Hi VeeOt Posted Image
(I`m wear a yellow RibbonPosted Image )
So you have god military Basics like each other thats have a Military Experience in his live.
The most new Guys have massive Problems to fight and Move, Positioning (never fight in places who more can fire in as Out -like Tunnel in Crimson), fight and Move as Unit and in Formation ,Weapon Ranges, very easy comes in a Panic Mode.

2 Heavys/Assaults with fast firing direct weapons can cause a lot of damage to the enemy in front of the exit of the crimson tunnel, while the enemy is blocking each other in the tunnel.

same goes for any build really. hell even an LRM mech can do some good even on Solaris (especially since they added the flatter direct fire missile trajectory) you just got to know when and where to engage. Solaris is the worst map for LRM in my opinion though Crimson comes in close more because everyone seems to mostly fight in the tunnel or that parking garage-like area. also for your own sake bring some kind of secondary even if its just a pair of MLs, yeah its only 10dmg but thats 10 you wouldn't be able to do when the enemy is under your min range otherwise. i love LRM but most of that is because i am Ex-U.S. Amry Artillery and demolitions specialist, i love my IDF.

every weapon is viable if used right. i'm more of a mid range fighter for the most part so i can do well on just about any map. given how you never really know what map you will get having options is always a good thing.

(as for pressing R your team should be doing that anyway. it doesn't just help LRM/ATM boats for locks but gives vital stats on enemy mechs. does it kill you to press one single button. some times even the best LRM player (one like me who stays with the team and gets own locks when i can) may not always be in a position to get their own locks, not Pressing R takes that potential damage completely out of the match and could cost the team a win. hell i have lost count of the times where a friendly ends up in trouble with no one able to help. if they could press R that LRM boat might gt a few volleys in on their attacker and either help take them out or simply chase them off.

as for those that suicide just because they don't like the map well they can all rot in the deepest pit of hell.

There were a good chunk of threads in may and june mostly, shall we say, instigated by one particular user who was convinced that snipers being in any way viable at all meant his precious brawlers were being rendered irrelevant.

Despite many attempts, either everyone was unable to, or he was unwilling to consider the idea that marching a 200 meter max ranged brawler across open terrain was not good positioning. He harped on about the balance of the playstyles, unwilling to even consider that he wasn't particularly good at his own favourite strat, and quite upset that, given his multitude of threads on the subject, everyone knew it.
