As a result of the recent map revisions in circulation, this map has risen to the top of the favored list, at least in my book. In fact, it almost always gets selected when it comes up, or at least comes in a close 2nd choice. It was a decent choice, however, in view of the HPG, Polar and Caustic revisions that seem to bow to The Cauldron's favoring of long range sniper builds, Rubellite is becoming about the best map for any type of build one plays. Lessons should be learned form this map going forward. It has long sight lines, but lots of cover. It is vertical. It's design does lend itself to constant NASCAR rotations, although that seems to happen occasionally. No weapon or build seems to dominate this map and there doesn't seem to be a meta build for it. It just plain works and is most balanced, in my opinion. And this is why none of the recent map reworks compare.

Fair analogy… except for the part where you linked the efforts of the map designer and the Cauldron’s mech balance efforts. The two are not connected.
