In general PGI will get some bonus on top of the amount EG7 already paid if PGI meets certain thresholds.
MW5 made quite some money, marketing becomes harder the older the game gets and DLCs will have therefore a reduced public awareness and roi.
MWOs development needs to be speed up as the license lasts only a few years more and a whole year is already gone with minimal advancements.
Matchmaker, New Player Experience, Skilltree should be a priority and puttin to much hope on the russian market could be akin to putting all eggs into on basket (imo without MM, NPE and Skilltree changes/advancements its doomed to repeat the way classic MWO is going).
They could announce MW6 Clans in 2022 and would release several other MW5 DLCs in between til MW6 Clans would be released around 1.5 to 2 years later with some room to do DLCs for that as well b4 the license ends.
Some rambling that he has no longer an access point to gather info in the company since EG7 took over and Russ went silent.
He will probably expand his Twitchprofile to other games as means of diversification.
Pls add stuff i did not mention or got wrong

The MWO Cryengine is so heavily modified it can not be updated and at best some optimization can be done.

From what I gather from this talk. Most of them are still speculation & rumors so take it as grain of salt. They are interesting points to notices:
MechWarrior 5:
- Update take longer because PGI develop updates simultaneously for PC, Xbox & Playstation.
- Consoles MW5 sold really well but no exact sales.
- PGI have Mechwarrior license in 4 years.
- Don't expect Clan DLC on MW5.
- Clan gonna be integrated & become main focus on MW6.
- MW6 gonna be main focus on Clan Invasion and take what learned in MW5.
- Return investment sales from MW5 DLCs are getting lower.
- Hence why they rather do Clan Invasion on sequel in MW6.
MechWarrior Online:
- Daeron talks about preview patch notes on 19 Oct update.
- No new chassis mech because need more developer/artists to make it.
- Most of them are working on MW5.
- New map on Dec. Reuse asset from Hellsbore Springs, a faction play map.
- Next new map gonna based on Emerald Taiga, another faction map.
- Rebranding MWO in 2022, removing Solaris brand.
- Planned new marketing campaign on MWO to bring new people. But they need fundamental changes done first.
- Don't expect engine update & engine switch.
- MWO using heavily modified & customized CryEngine they cannot just easily updating the engine.
- If MWO have extended Mechwarrior license & greenlighted to switch engine, they gonna use Unreal.
- Improving MWO optimization with Kokku help.
Future of PGI:
- PGI have Mechwarrior license in 4 years.
- Currently, no exact statement about PGI gonna be renew Mechwarrior license.
- Need large investment to renew Mechwarrior license.
- PGI gonna working on new IP if they no longer renew Mechwarrior license.
- People at PGI still want continue working on Mechwarrior, including Daeron, Mark & Matt, etc.
- Daeron gonna keep directly speaking to Russ to keep Mechwarrior IP as long as he can.

*Mostly being understanding that Matt, Daeron, François get paid but the burden of work that has brought this influx has been on the community balance panel.

Daeron's laziness, and possible incompetence, reflects extremely poorly on PGI.

He does not understand that some people are not going to spend money on MWO if they do not know what future this game has.
Would you spend 240 dollars on some Clan collection if you do not know whether Russ Bullock pulls the plug in two months or not?
I have always thought that a part of the Community Manager's work is to .. you know ... communicate with the game community.

I fully support Daeron & Matt for everything that they have done thus far for MWO fans (since Sept 2020)!
Here we go again...
Daeron is one of the few who genuinely who voices out the opinions of players back to PGI.
Witness how we got the April'2020 Cauldron patches... it was because of player feedback in March'2020...
So Daeron (and Matt) decided to stick out their necks, took risks, and (imho: correctly) brings in Cauldron for MWO game balancing.
Daeron is stuck between a rock and a hard place... a company and its owners who may be reluctant to front a large BattleTech MechWarrior lump sum licensing payment up front... and a rabid fanbase which has a tendency to turn on the CM at the slightest hint that CM might be unable to deliver what the fanbase wants....
I fully support Daeron & Matt for everything that they have done thus far for MWO fans (since Sept 2020)!

Daeron (and previously Matt also) indicated that PGI may operate the Battletech MechWarrior licence for under 4 years (timeline extrapolated u now).

In one of his one or two hours long videos "Daeron chats with his friends about everything"? I stopped caring about those many months ago.
What about sitting to his PC, writing everything he wants to let the MWO fans know and actually posting it on this MWO forums?
By the way, it has been three years since Russ Bullock actually posted something on this forums.

But guess that's part of company culture, and ahem... the temperament of the folks involved...
I dislike these videos, and do not consider these an ideal way of communicating with your fanbase (or at least not without the courtesy of a succinct transcript summary)...
But like it or not, this is what us MWO fanbase have to work with...
(and it's enough for me personally...)
