[Suicide2]

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forums, but not the game. Was just wondering what everyone's favorite sniping mech is, and how serious you take the role. For me, it's the good ol ER-PPPC Shadow Cat with ECM. I take the backstabbing/sniper role pretty seriously, considering I'm basically a dedicated PPC cat sniper (Having over 100 hours in the PPC shadow cat)

My name in game is Suicide2, and I'm usually recording some pretty cool games in the PPC shadow cat. But I've seen some other incredible sniper builds and seen them do very well, so I'm just curious to know what other sniper fanatics like to use!!

I often post some of my clutches on youtube, to keep a log of how dangerous being a sniper can be in the late games. Check them out if you're interested!!

I've been tinkering with the Blackjack BJ-3 as a sniper. I don't love the sniper playstyle, but sometimes the best way to win is to play the meta and right now, it's sniping.

You could probably build an ERLL + ERML or even a gauss build on one of the ballistic variants too.

One of my first mechs was the grasshoper 5H with 5 ER large lasers, it was fun and simple.

I've recently taken to a 5xERLL MadIIC. Takes some borderline optimization for it to alpha without cooking, but the amount of pinpoint damage it outputs is simply stupid (and it has good sustain on firing 4xERLL or even 3+2 if that's necessary).

Quad lppc ecm urbie is pretty sweet and basically the IS version of the shadowcat. Not many lights can boat four of them and of the ones that can few have ecm. However I've been having a ton of fun with a three lppc spider due to how nimble it is so you can snipe from positions most mechs can't reach.

Hey Suicide2, so what do you think of the Shadow Cat with the Cauldron mech quirks after this Jan 2022 patch?
And what are your thoughts about the SHC-D from the Predator Pack just released?

Your below YouTube video still amazes me; but I admit that I'm a heavy/assault pilot... so I'm terrible with Lights and Mediums...

For me - Shadow Cat, then Uziel. Also Thanatos 5S with Stealth Armor.

Sometimes Mad Cat Mk II "DeathStrike" can also snipe well with proper configuration.

LOL hmm for snipping -- try a madcat2 with 2 gauss rifles and 2 large lazers, runs at 70, and still has a jump jet, clan mech i can drop light if he stands still at 1100 range, maybe more : )
