I wouldn't hold your breath, they wont even add Clan mechs to mw5 as it needed, just so they can money sink another game.. MWO2 is never going to come..

PGI has the MechWarrior licence until 2024 or 2025.

Pgi might not have the best record, but we should be glad that pgi got the rights. Each and every major brand would just shut down the servers.

I can't see PGI ending this as it makes them money even if the licence was revoked they'd still have writes to their game as is.. And if not ah well.

PGI could hardly use the MIcrosoft's IP without having the valid licence for it.

I would think that if its another publisher, they would make a much better game in terms of presentation, visuals and content but they would charge you the heck out of it via loot boxes and gacha.

Microsoft seems to be content with the PGI's use of its MechWarrior licence. It renewed the licence in 2015 or so, and then again in 2019.

i have to seriously wonder how many dev teams are out there competent enough to even do a Mechsimstlyle FPS .. ... this genre is already a niche within a niche ... no, let´s not give this to wargaming or that like ..

PGI's - or should I say EG7's? - MechWarrior licence is valid until 2024 or 2025.

I just hope that PGI will publish some announcement in January that would detail their MWO plans for 2022.
