RESULT got 1 kill, did 7 assist, i that little guy with a ton of small lazers got 4 kills, we won the game, do think i should be MAD,---that he/them-- TOOK MY KILLS FROM ME.
NO i am HONERED they helped, hmm 4 ER LARGE is a nasty hit, maybe some young folks need to learn to build one : )

Sawka Khan is a sixer and 3 slices of pizza into a sesh and they are super pumped.

Would rather read about how pumped OP always is than the usual sad crap that gets posted here.

Yeah, ER Larges aren’t really good at headshots, not unless the target is powered down, AFK, or stripped of head armor. You hit them, they move, and your damage washes to CT at the very least.

Maybe it's time you guys start using cover. Times have changed, we are no longer playing a meta where long range weapons are garbage and every brawler can prance through wide open areas without being properly punished. Stop blaming everyone else but yourself for getting farmed by long range weapons.

I play mostly short to mid range load outs and have to deal with severe health issues that make playing sometimes almost impossible and despite that have not much trouble making an impact and getting my kills, so maybe you all can stop bitching about a "snipe meta" while you are still trying to play the game like it's 2019. It's ridiculous how unwilling to learn part of this community is.

I second the sentiment, if not the harsh rhetoric. HPG is the only map I routinely have to deal with sniper fire. Maps like Canyon, Hibernal, and Emerald Vale there are tons of places to stand and move that are sniper-free. And the older open maps like Tourmaline and Grim Plexus are so well known that you know exactly where you can and cannot expect to stand. The longer the new maps are out, the less of a problem snipers will be, as people will gain the “don’t stand there” knowledge.

I mean, everybody knows not to fight in “Death Valley” in Tourmaline, but some folks do it anyway and then blame the crushing loss on something besides their choice of battlefield position…

I do just fine against it. I find it annoying. I also find those that act like 'lulz git gud' posts make any sort of difference. I generally close on and dismantle snipers with little to no problem. I just find constantly having 3 to 4 people on each team hanging out at the edge of the map and doing nothing to help their team other than sub 200 damage and getting murdered by the first light or medium that finds them a bit hard to have to carry all the time.

It's not deadly when its played by idiots.

Just because I do alright against it doesn't mean 50 blue lasers flying from all directions doesn't make one go 'Uh oh!' then.. yanno die in a hail of blue lasers. Sometimes you come up against actual decent snipers and one wrong step on your part.... they'll wreck ya.

As a clan brawler, I like to pack on a couple Heavy Large Lasers or Large Pulse Lasers to get that below the belt punch in when someone has a weak spot.

Been tinkering with lasers on a super nova and the sniper meta is fun to do once in a while. With all that armor it feels like such a waste to see too far back.

Back on Sawk's OP, I am quite OK getting Kill Assists. I don't see my comrads as stealing my kill. They are helping service a hostile to get closer to winning, which is more important to me than how many kills I get in a game. Team work makes the dream work!

+1
I see it as most random QP players do in good faith try to kill enemies asap, and try to focus fire on the same enemy as you are firing at.

As such, I'm personally OK with Kill Assist. To think otherwise would put yourself into a very negative MWO world play-wise.
And I shudder to think what this MWO game atmosphere would be like, if everyone thinks their neighbor is kill stealing...

KEWL GOT you all talking, to be honest large lazer are still OK up close, 40 point hit is not weak, its a 1 two punch, and if you not hideing from me ----it repeats in 1.5 sec, i really feel sorry that folks useing something that hitting 10 point at times, and i aim shooting 20 and 20, its a little like giving your KID a 410 shot gun, when learned about a 12 gauge.

Kill assists are fine.

Played a match recently and got 12 kill assists (without consumables) and like 700 damage, and no kills and I was tickled pink.

4 x ERLL isn't a terrible weapon loadout I think.

I set up my free Executioner 4 x ERLL and a crap ton of HS to keep them firing as fast as possible, and it works pretty decent. It also farms C-Bills well, since very little on the battlefield isn't getting a little laser-love from it, and the kill assists add up pretty fast.

Well to be honest i do prefer straight up lazer vomit, 2 large to herd folks long range and 3 or 4 med lazers, and if you can find wingman LIKE a EBON JAG with 6 plus med lazers, i have had a few good DROPS, when nasty 40 point PLUS mech was with me.
HMM you may want to try a timber wolf with LRMs and 4 med lazers, my SNOWFLAKE mech has 59 point hit at 500 meters, good luck to you----

Just got my Marauder IIC: MAD-IIC(S) with crazy 9x energy hardpoint laser vomit :)
https://mwomercs.com/marauder-iic

Just have not decided which Large Laser to install yet; all those choices!

It's laser vomit alone is enough to win trades on the top plateau in Viridian Bog!
But I don't get to kill anything; enemies just run away Posted Image
and now to work on my aiming...

Awesome mech I use two different builds on that beast.
mad-iic with LPL and ERML and mad-iic LPL and MPL range vs more dps. I think there are better mechs to use with ERLL so not using those with MAD-IICs
