I still have some mechs that are unskilled and I use the event to play some.
While I know that the skillpoint allocation will be taken over with the new skilltree is it worth going through the trouble of skilling now and then later reskill them?

Cause I guess that I can shave of some points that now can be better used somewhere else to optimise the build.

Your thoughts?

Each mech has "First Victory Of The Day" that yields ~double XP.

So you can level up each of your mech, go only for the 1st Victory of the day, and then go on to the next mech.

Each individual mech may level up slowly (slower than my taste),
but over 2+ weeks your entire stable of semi-skilled mechs will level up faster as a whole!

I'm concentrating only on semi-skilled mechs with 40+ Skill Nodes already used!

Allready doing that.

My concern is more in the direction if its worth spending the points allready or wait for the patch to see how the new skill tree looks in detail, cause I think you can do some optimisation compared to the current one as the path seams to involve less unwanted nodes.

I'd wait for the patch before buying anything, but small changes are not going to put you out much xp or cbills, so your decision.

You can go ahead and skill now, but you should avoid putting points into any nodes that just get you to the node you really wanted. And you should also not skip nodes... don't take Range 1 and Range 4... take Range 1 and Range 2... that way you won't have to redo anything later.

So yeah, don't FULLY skill it out, but you can certainly earn XP and unlock the ones you know will be keepers later this month!

I guess I will have it easy because all my mechs are already at 91 nodes and have plenty of banked xp for when the patch hits. I mean on average you are only going to have to redo around 10~15 points as you get rid of the previous filler skills not to mention that the xp and cbill cost has been reduced too.

i dont see any reason to do anything special as far as nodes go this time. worst thing you can do is install them out of order, but you can always fix that later with the inevitable surplus of xp and cbills. you can probibly avoid that all together if you dont apply the nodes and only grind them. but i really dont see the point, its just going to draw out the grinding process. especially with that double xp event coming up in a couple weeks. you can speed that up if you sit on your premium time redeems and use your 2x bonuses. and run your c mechs to grind gxp.
