8+hours of outage on a long weekend. This doesn't look good.

Usually when we lose the game, we lose the website. Not so here.

Still, unless PGI is bankrupt and has unpaid bills, it should get back up as soon as someone does a reset on the authentication server. If that's under contract for response to a third party, I can see PGI making a rather sizeable claim.

Sadly, this is the problem with centralised services. One goes, all the servers go.

It's one thing if it were a weekend facility that had HVAC or security go down or something. A gaming server in comparison is small potatoes, but it's still a business and I don't think this reflects well on PGI or their parent company's way of running things.

I would be happy to forget about it if everyone got a free Crusader variant of their choice

(Minus the special C-Bill bonus ones - I want to be fair to their business model.)

I read on the hpg reddit somewhere that someone uninstalled one of the latest security KB updates and got the game running again. Can't imagine they're in a match though.

Steam will also consider people playing if the launcher is open, also.

Wow really, still no official response from the MWO team on the Error Code 13 issue? I don't expect a min to min update on the fix but not getting a forum post, tweet, or something just acknowledging the problem is not acceptable customer service.
