Not Going To Play Until Rac Exploit Is Fixed

Played three games last night, saw RAC2 boats everywhere. I watched my Victor get sawed in half by a 4xRAC Fafnir and had enough. Was he cheating? Probably, maybe, who knows. Regardless, I'm out until PGI fixes this nonsense.

Pretty sure Tina posted that it is against COC.
Not the macro but the current exploit involving the macro.
That being said. In 4 hours playing last night I saw one guy doing it.
I am concerned if it becomes more prevalent. Then ya. I won't log either.
Also this thread will probably be curtailed due to it's imlplications.

"If not" as in if PGI doesn't enforce the CoC

Guess not.

Of course, I also would not mind a different solution, where people using a certain exploit (like this one) will just self destruct as soon as it is detected. Like an automated system. Damage done in timeframe X exceeds what the weapon can legally put out... BOOOM.
Would also get cheaters where it hurts them... In their kill/death ratio.
***EDIT: I normally just play on weekends and mondays. I hope there will be some fix in by then, because I do not think I want to play while that problem is active... It is not enjoyable to be on the receiving end of exploits. ***

PGI has known about it for months- possibly longer.

It seems like this widely publicized (for Battletech anyways) exploit is going to really annoy the remaining players who aren't taking advantage of it into leaving, meaning only the minmaxers will be left, and once PGI fix it the minmaxers will likely give up to as they have no-one to victimize.

Regardless, considering how many RACs=Cheating topics have been posted in the last 48 hours, I'm sure it's a matter of days before RACs get the nerf hammer (I foresee a >2X RAC2=Ghost Heat patch incoming)

Doesnt matter because you can circumvent the ghost heat with macros as well.
The real exploit are not 3x RAC2 but 5xRAC2 without ghost heat and 40% more DPS.

And flamers... just as you can use the fire control macro software to keep rac's from jamming, you can keep flamers from heat spiking. Which is why things like the piranha 2s and 3s can brawl with the flamers firing continuously for like thirty seconds and still have heat left to use their micro lasers and never shut down even with only 10 heat sinks.
