There should have been some sort of speed increase for this map, its just too big for this kind of thing.

I've only fired the weapons on my second mech once...
For the future, that map is better for 'only lights and mediums'.

That would require them to actually test stuff.

Event Queue is a fun playground for random wild ideas like unlimited jump jets, no LRM brawls, escort mode?, or whatever else ... congrats
Happy 1st! Happy 4th!

So before you write it off entirely, I recommend finding an event that includes the "unlimited jump jets", and go have an aerial battle. Apparently Vectored Thrust skills aren't enough to do ALL the steering, but if you weren't going fast to begin with, then it'll be awhile before you float out of bounds. And airborne battles between ground-based mechs is hilarious.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't already know that from Faction drops. Faction Domination on large maps is almost always just a single drop unless the victors push all the way through the circle and stop the countdown so they can farm.

Still better than faction warfare. I gave up playing that.. solo drops just were not fun.. last one I played ran into a 12 man using Map hacks.

Agreed. I've suggested in the past that Loyalty Reward warhorns and other items be made available for purchase after some decent interval--say a year or so. It seems a waste to have developed them and then they never see the light of day again. Put them in the store for real money; generate a little revenue.

I wonder if PGI is able to do "hidden" event items. I think they basically did that for the original Fool's Warhorn. I think it was a pretty simple requirement, but it wasn't listed on the event page, and it was an auto-redeem, or something like that. For those who are concerned about cheapening the loyalty rewards by making them available outside of the rewards program, make hidden events locked to the loyalty 'mech variants that provide duplicates of some of the other loyalty rewards from the specific year that 'mech was released (so the Blackjack BJ-2(L), Hellbringer HBR-F(L), Cataphract CTF-3L(L), Summoner SMN-F(L), Summoner SMN-M(L), and Stalker STK-3FB(L) would all generate the Gatling Warhorn). That way, only those who originally earned them can get them, but they can also get more from time to time.
That would make the Manei Domini warhorns complicated, though, because that was the first year they did the "pick a hero or past loyalty 'mech" loyalty rewards.
I suggested "hidden" just so the people who did NOT originally earn those 'mechs aren't looking at an event item they're locked out of and getting jealous.

I agree, which is why I suggested it, but I recall them getting a lot of grief for it, which is why we never see it, anymore, except for the new-'mech launch challenges aimed at boosting pack sales.
