Your success will help determine the September FREE 'Mechs! After the weekend, we will determine the most statistically successful Inner Sphere and Clan Heavy 'Mechs, and those 2 'Mechs will be FREE for a month with the September FREE 'Mech Event.

You can use any Heavy Mech Variant in the Event Queue but only Standard variants that are available for C-Bills qualify for the Free Mech Event.

I want to test something for this event in the testinggrounds. No Solaris7 Maps for you tee5.

You need to make a private lobby to test your stuff tee5. But tee5 got no friends. So no testing for you tee5.

This is how solaris should have been implemented years ago.

The Crusader should have been banned, since not available for C-bills yet, at least the 6T and Crael. Yes I own them and easily won enough matches, The only challenge was my 6T against a Crael and two MechWarriors who were not in Crusaders, packing UACs (yes these two MechWarriors were definitely better than the rest).

All 1v1 proves is that MWO is not balanced for 1v1 and that SPL and MGs are OP as can be.

It was not any different than Solaris, other than the Crusaders in the matches.

Thank you MWO for this long awaited Solaris Event revamp!

It's certainly an enjoyable change in pace, with free MechBay + GSP too!

This is a lot of fun.

I do agree that the system of choosing the next freebie is kind of weird. It's only really good if you want a second of something you already have. Otherwise why focus on winning with only one?

It would be nice if the fights didn't almost always immediately close in. I'd spend time skilling out my rifleman iic 2 if I knew I wouldn't be immediately srm'd.

My favorite match so far is winning as a stick marauder with no weapons because my opponent overheated.

I played 8 matches 2 in my Crael and the rest in my 6T, out of those matches I played against two craels and one other 6T (the one that made med swtich from my Crael. I only lost three matches. If you did not see any Crusaders it is because the people piloting them already finished the event.

Out of the three matches I lost, one was to a UAC Warhammer and the other was a UAC Nova Cat, both matches they stayed on the high ground and were able to do a decent amount of damage to me before I could get close, both were very close matches though. The third match I lost was my 6T vs a Crael, and I got trigger happy and overheated, so the Crael took off my legs with MGs.

I guess I will see how I do in the next round.

You only play 10 games? Too bad, with my orion Inner sphere I played 40 games and I made a nice 30 wins in 40 games. The orion is really fun to play in 1-1. Can be even a little too loud.

I am 1/4 French-Canadian, but I speak almost no French . I did not need more games than I played to get the rewards. Maybe the next map will make things more difficult.

So far I’ve seen a lot of Catapult, Archer, Tanathos and dragon for Inner Sphere. For Clan I've seen Madd dog, Hellfire and hellbringer

Does the event take tier into consideration?

I've played a number of mechs and 1v1 is a different style of play, especially for mechs that run hot and need time to rest. So some of my more reliable builds have fallen over when they're not with a team.

However my BoomJager hasn't been beaten yet and I'm tempted to swap some of my ammo for an upgrade to the TC.
