Current maps heavily favour long range builds, there are endless Large Lasers, PPCs and Dakka builds out there.

Can you add some of the old maps back into the queue? Oringinal Canyone network, Oringinal HPG manifold??

Where I agree the maps favor long range, I have a different approach in mind. I hope you'll check it out!

From some reason PGI refuses to do that.

hmm i think you are wrong, i see prenty of folks, that are running to make kills, many new maps try to filter folks to do that, and the old guard LIKE ME. get killed behind you.
YOU REALLY need to learn, i watched 4 guys got ran past, and CAME right after me, many of you folks are not a THREAT to the OLD GUARD, veteran pilots, and you have no idea LOL

The new canyon network is the same they just changed it a little Original HPG would be nice along with the ACTUAL original terra therma. Solaris city favors close range.

game is trash now. hills and islands everywhere which are not accessible without running around the whole map.

even streamers stopped playing it. cant play more than 2 rounds before i leave for days. and have not spent any money in a long time. before i purchased a pack often because they felt special. now they decided to spam the game with micro transactions. feels like games workshop with endless spam of everything where it's pointless to keep up collecting stuff

I felt the need to whine about this post but I can't come up with a solid argument against it.... FFS, those are valid concerns O.O

It IS fixable, though. I just wonder if it's going to have to cost PGI more money than it makes before they sell it to someone who cares to treat it like the last best hope for Mech Warrior that it is? I mean, seriously, there is a HUGE player base for the mech warrior franchise, they just won't play THIS game anymore. Or anything PGI does considering they perma banned most of their legendary founders right out the gate.

The problem with long range is that it is OP by it's very nature of out ranging everyone else. Even if you halved the damage of snipes they would still be pretty effective. The issue is that there is almost no reason to risk brawling in a PUG. Brawls require much more team work than snipes and that's where the problem is. It would be nice to have a map or mode that would incentivize medium and short range builds. I think it could bring back a lot of good players that won't have anything to do with the game.

I know the vast majority of current players don't want short range, okay, I get it. I SAY TO YOU: The game is almost dead, you're going to have to share and support other play styles if you want to help it. So, have some courage and something constructive to say.

I would not call the removal the most important feature of the map "they just changed it a little".

The original Terra Therma sucked. I remember the minutes of that pointless camping with one team inside and the other team outside the central volcano.
