Another idea for game mode.

Collect and build
Go to collection points to gather materials, these may be contested
Bring materials back to "base" to build (something)

Strong defensive weapons would have been nice.
real ai. Rotary Autocannon 5 .. large laser guns.
gauss guns.

What about removing armillary and air strikes, or limiting them to light mechs (scouting bonus)?

What about
no air strikes without controlling an air airstrip or tower
and/or
no artillery without controlling an artillery piece or tower

another game mode, you have to have mechs on a capture point to provide power for something at base, like radar or air/arty etc

Add a self destruct that happens after two minutes of inactivity.

Speaking of...
Add an area of effect explosion from an engine going critical, the larger the engine the larger the area of effect and the higher the damage.
i.e.
1/2 the engine size for max range on damage, max within 10m, declining damage out to the max
damage = engine size

The idea is that you can drop land mines, number of them could vary based upon the weight category of the mech...

Add a game feature where standing still to long starts to cause leg damage, like on bog the worms come up and start chewing on the legs!

Or the mech starts sinking and movement is slowed down, like way down.

For incursion game mode, instead of stationary battery generators, how about a drop ship crashes in (mostly) random locations and then you go to that to salvage a core (battery) to charge up what ever base thing...

Also could add ammunition/consumable resupply as part of that, that would draw more players to want to investigate the crash.

What about a collect and defend, first team to finish the "build" wins?

Skirmish = remove
Assault = remove
Incursion = add LRM and large laser turrets, and more medium laser turrets
change domination number of players in the circle can counter enemy teams numbers, i.e. 2 red and 1 blue = red counting down
add collect and build
add search and destroy

LRM's should be given more range, they are after all LONG RANGE MISSILES...

sad when ballistics in the game can shoot further and without drop...

pick saved loadout and skills after map and game type are discovered...

nothing like bringing the wrong weapons for the map/game...
