Arges looks ridiculous. I'm really getting tired of this much hardpoint creep, it's just a better Sleipnir for almost all gauss or Hgauss builds. I mean, unless you really need that 5% gauss cooldown or 10% laser range Posted Image. There are other ways to make mechs interesting than blatant power creep.

Getting so tired of "hardpoint creep" complaints with IS assault mechs. IS assault mechs are capped at EIGHT energy hardpoints, meanwhile Clan mechs can have 12, 13, 14+. I don't consider it power creep to give the IS side access to similar amounts of hardpoints.

The complete specifications for the shadowhawk were placed in a screenshot advertising the sale. This stated clearly "lbx spread +25, lbx velocity +50...etc". This is a failure to deliver on the specifications you sold.

These quirks were nowhere on the store page. Stop being difficult.

As for C-LPL? There's discussions regarding a range nerf.

I hasten to remind you that there was no pure range buff for clan LPLs. These lasers have had their maximum firing range increased, while at the same time their optimum firing range has been reduced.
If you want to reduce the maximum firing range, return (increase) the optimal range.

Seems like a build that depends on a IS XL Engine and that's basically a suicide mech these days! Posted Image

Can't wait to shoot them off the battlefield !!! LOL !!! Posted Image

Imagine not being comfortable using an XL engine in a light mech.

There might be concerns about older chasses being left behind. I really don't know how much can be done with things like the Awesome though. Can hardpoints be relocated at all (like, their position on the mech, not like moving a hardpoint from a LA to LT or whatever)?

For the legendaries they are limited by what hardpoints are currently modeled in game.

Marauder-II has 11, Banshee has at least like 13, Mauler has 10, Battlemaster has 9 or 10, Nightstar has 9 (with 2B), Awesome actually has 11 which I didn't realize, so that's cool.

I don't think they are interested in modeling new hardpoint locations at this time, but I for one would be excited about the potential build options with some of these.

Why can't you test the Legendary Mechs in the Private Lobby?

You could but that's not an accurate representation of how it will perform in quick play.

community managers log: message to ceo russ bullock, from cm daeron

my dearest russ.
tis been many moons since you convinced me to undertake the "cauldron initiative". i daresay i have my doubts. pugs and tryhards from across the intewebs cry out that the high alpha range meta is unfun. clearly there has been a recent uptick in unrest amongst the common folk. the cauldron has been instructed to fix this problem, but comp season is coming, and they fear nerfing the blue light beams will destroy their chance at the title of best robot autist of the year. yellow light beams have been sacrificed so that we may maintain our monastary of incel comp pilots. their devotion to being the best in a game with no tangible rewards is admirable, to accomplish this, however, we had to make blood sacrifice of the scattershot, a slightly above average glass cannon, to the pug masses. gods, i can still hear the screams. they will haunt me forever, yet i persevere, in the knowledge that your wisdom and bottomless coke stash can fil me several times over.

i wish you luck in your travels my beloved russ. your journey to conquer the lands of pve-dom are legend amongst your people. we pray that you will return to us with a bounty of funding, and new mech dads for us to drain of currency.

signed, with love, your scapegoat community manager,
daeron.

ps, your old nemesis approaches from the south my lord. return to us soon, or you may have nowhere left to return too.

pps. were running out of mech ideas. mayhaps your goals of 2 mechs per month is a bit much?

Simply fantastic... I love this...

I know the supernova lgd and the mad iic lgd have diferent consumable bonuses. However, the builds and the quirks kind of feel the same. I was also hoping for a non assault legend for the clans and one that wasn't a battlemech. I'll probably still get the new supernova because I love them and will enjoy grinding out a new one but can we get some more love for the clans. Yes yes the stone rhino is coming and I'm excited but some more interesting quirks like the scattershot however would be cool.

Quirk strategy is similar, but the builds are likely to be much different. The Dreadnought can do dual gauss and ERLL (like many other things) but stands out with 4 AC-10 or similar builds.

Supernova will likely standout as a mini-alpha-Dire (dual gauss plus laser vomit) but has some other brawly possibilities as well. And it is a Supernova so it looks fantastic (with some color changes).

Navid... Look Man, I know yer a super awesome Cauldron guy... And yer friends with Phil, I know, I know... But every post You've put here on this thread, makes You and the Cauldron look idiotic...

The WORST thing is You can't test a Mech before it's offered to the MWO Public... Like, the Cauldron can't? Or no one can? This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard... A Game Company, cannot test an asset, or let their "Pet" Cauldron players test it? Really? That's hilariously idiotic... 90% of the Complaints here would not have happened, if someone had tested these abominations before release... Wow... Super sad times for MechWarrior... Good luck selling future Legendary Mech's PGI lol...

Moonwalker is something but it sure as hell isn't useless.

Scattershot seems like it was pretty obscene. Saw an awful lot of matches with a Scattershot pilot at top of scoreboard doubling the MS of the next one down, things like that.

Scattershot was a one trick pony with those quirks.. now its a no trick pony.. and the Moonwalker is just another Mad Cat II now..

Clan-ER ML hit for 6 Damage. IS hits for 5. This isn't a nerf either, it also gets lower heat and lower laser duration.

As for C-LPL? There's discussions regarding a range nerf. Possibly a damage or heat nerf as well. It's a bit more delicate though, cause C-LPL have an interesting meta dynamic with Heavy Large Lasers. Nerf LPL too much, and HLL becomes the new gold standard. Trying to reduce LPL's OPness without immediately rendering them obsolete is a bit of a hassle.

Er large need a range nerf not LPL jesus..

Moonwalker is a Mad Cat II with more hardpoints, in better locations.

Scattershot was a devourer of worlds, now it's likely going to be simply very strong.

I don't think either are in danger of becoming obsolescent.

Disagree, I still see it reliably perform well. It's become less prevalent in matches (likely people rage-shelving it because they weren't allowed to run the 5 AC10 build), but it performs extremely well when piloted with any modicum of effort and loaded out in a way that isn't objectively bad.

Correction - it will BE a heavily quirked Shawk with 5M 3B in good torso mounts and with bonus critslots, it won't be as heavily quirked as before. I fully anticipate it still being obnoxious after the patch, but we'll see.

Scattershot was never my cup of tea but the Moonwalker is awesome. 3 AC10 2 UAC5 is mint, 3 AC20 is kinda fun.

Don’t know but I purchased from the store page which doesn’t contain quirk information. I also know that quirks are subject to change. There was no “Guaranteed to be OP” note on the store page or anywhere else. It takes very few brain cells to know that quirks are subject to change. They always have been.

I love the Raven. I wish they would make a larger version of it. A 100-ton Raven would be great. Strong and mighty.
