Fun In Quick Play,

Tunnel game-play, congregating at the same map locations, unrealistic placement of invisible walls, meta vomit fests, constant uncertain changes to mechs - is not fun.
What is you version of a fun Quick Play round?
P.S. @ QP Drop Decks. Are we talking, for example, two mech drop decks? Like having a plan B?
Or are we talking being stuck in a "quick" play round with 4 mechs, and a bad team for 20 minutes?

I wish there was such a game mode. I'm sure I would have a lot of fun.
Armor, speed, firepower.
This is the arena design in my mind.
Light machines would fly and run around, while the large machines would fiercely battle in the center.
This is freedom.

i Find fun: Good 7-10 min match, outplaying/being outplayed, looking at other mechs seeing how they play/move, Casual Banter
I don't find fun:Conquest, incursion, unsportsmanship behaviour, invisible walls, gravity
Talking about QP drop decks the main issue i have with it "what stops you from Being farmed"

No legitimate proposal for drop decks in quickplay includes a match timer any longer than 15 minutes.
I even think a 10 minute timer might be good; but full 4 mech drop decks should be included. It would allow for a tug-of-war style match where you don't actually know who will win until the match is nearly over, and would make most of the existing game modes actually functional in a way that they currently simply are not.

Such a mode would have been nice, in my opinion.

Even the mission objectives can be swapped out for your homebrew version of Skirmish if you prefer. Except for Conquest, because Conquest is the Devil.
Anyways...
You don't see that kind of freedom in other game modes. Forget Solaris if you just can't stand brawling, for example. Forget Solaris if you only drop with a team. Forget Faction Play if you don't like dropping with teams. Forget both Solaris and Faction Play if you like goofy builds that only you think are cool, but aren't meta-effective.
But in quickplay, its all fair game. You see it all there, and most of the time nobody is getting all bent out of shape telling anyone else they're doing it wrong.

Long rest could help refresh the game feelings and good behavior.

Yes. Solaris should've been like in MW4. FFA. Unfortunate game engine limitation of only seeing two "Teams"

So, jump in your King Crab with one medium laser, ignore the pee stain, and work your way back down to Tier 5 if you like; I won't get on your case about it.
Might as well make a new account at that point.
Anyway, on topic, I like close QP matches that end like 12-11 or come down to the last minute.

I saw it in other games. FFA is a killsteal competition. That would be a fight between killsteal builds with an enormous alpha strike and sustained DPS builds to punish overheating.

Flank, pick off stragglers in a knife fight, and when the tables turn against you, flee and win the game through caps.
Variety is the spice of life, and one can only murder ball in the perfect meta build so many times before it gets stale.
You need to spice things up, and get out of your comfort zone. My Jarl's List is a mess, 40 games here 15 games there, until I learned to play lights... then I had a few months pop up with a thousand games played, because I was having fun.

I dont understand why other people dislike and never vote conquest. It's free money, why do you hate free money? It also gives you other options. Is that really why ya'll dislike it? "Options bad, there is only skirmish"?

In CryEngine 3, there is no such limit. I'm not aware of the other plugins they use, but in Crysis, Deathmatch works normally. What I'm looking for in Deathmatch is chaos. Long maps don't provide this to players. Maps like the ones shown in the videos I mentioned, with as many players as possible, create something enjoyable in my opinion. I love chaos.
Take a look at the arrangement of players in the maps I showed.

Yeah...
Honestly your description of why you like Conquest is exactly why I can't stand it; the game mode rewards the greasiest, lowest forms of gameplay like "sucker-punch and flee", or "park and gauss snipe while everyone else works objectives", etc. And a team can wipe out all the enemies, and completely own the battlefield once the fight is over, and still lose on caps.
Never gets my vote, ever.

Conquest is the only game mode that actually feels ok to play the objective on, and the only reason you don't like it is because without respawns, you get ultra-punished for not running the right mech.
If you had multiple chances, you could play defense on a point, counter a rush, any number of things, all within the same match timer.

Well, you're not wrong about being really out of luck if you randomly guess game modes wrong; we've all seen Conquest result in a handful of assaults left standing on one side and they lose to one flea on the opposing (but mostly wiped out) enemy force.

pretty much. you've correctly identified that something is fundamentally wrong when you realize *playing the objective* feels like griefing.
