1.: Catapults (all variants)
add extra ECM quirks for them!
2.: Wolfhounds (all variants)
add LRM\SRM quirks for them!
3.: Commando (all variants)
add extra Jump-jet quriks for them!
4.: Awesome (all variants)
add Gauss or UAC quirks for them!
5.: Orion (all variants)
add extra ECM and JJets quirks for them!
See, these are all help balance! And just as sane as PL quirks on the Kintaro!
Feel free to use these ideas as you have no reason not to! You paved the way, just do it!

KTO and PL quirks were an excellent example that just because we can and wish to do something we may not need to do! It were a dumb thing unfit for the KTO.

LOTS of mech variants are so similar to others that they are pointless, actually. Wolfhounds, Grasshoppers and Black Knights come to mind for me, but there are way more.
Good news is lots of room to grow, if the cauldron starts looking hard at different mech variants and starts perking them noticeably so they are not functionally identical.
One suggestion I might make - every chassis should have at least one variant with jump jets, and one with ECM, and maybe one with MASC. Not sure who would put out a mech with seven variants and not a single one with JJ's, but that's just silly.

Better distiction Between pulse,normal and ER lasers i feel the lines are getting to blurred between normal and ER (both is and clan)

er meds for both factions seem to be meant as mid range weapons but they fall short of that by a hundred meters or so even with range quirks and range nodes. I'd like to see them match other mid range weapons with at least a 500m optimal after skills and quirks. Maybe increase duration a bit to compensate.

What I wanted to say:
Balance is a thing and Cauldron undoubtedly made some. I can accept THAT.
Introduce things what mirrors one's favour and try-to-force it on others is just BAD. If you want MechWarrior at least TRY to keep in touch with BT-lore. PL-quirk on KTO were (not the only) an intentional deviation without explanation from MW and BT generally just to propagate the style-n-like of a few players.
Better Cauldron stick just balancing and not reshape MW-generally because they have no right to commit the later!
@Cauldron: Just balance, damn, not force your image of game-style! You did pretty good balance for this game why you try to ruin your (in)fame?!
And still gonna be fun to see a closer-to-real fire-mechanic in-game. You know, need to lock on target otherwise X% chance to miss completely! A computer need a lock what take time, a human need to aim what take time, still both could fail in RL...
This part may help to dismiss the auto-aim of LRMs idiotism at last. Things lately need a huge clean up for sure...
