I think the best part of FP is respawning over and over again. Don't you think QP is a bit hardcore? Okay, we all love competition, but QP shouldn't be the area where players hard, in my opinion.

When you look at all the newly released online games today, you will see multiple game modes. They are arranged from easy to difficult. You can observe this as well. I find this aspect missing in the game.

I'm not saying that this game is better. I'm not saying this to promote or advertise any game, I'm just stating what I see as a missing aspect. Please do not get me wrong.

You are targeting the same player base.

No... No one wants lame CoD style MechWarrior matches... CoD is a Cancer... MWO was far from this style of game, but is sadly moving ever closer... Legendary Nonsense, Drop-Decks, etc. come on... Sad...

I love all the events and new DLCs. I wish there were more of them.

If there were any operation DLC, I would buy it immediately.

For example, if night maps were offered as DLC under the operation name, I would purchase them.

They did this in Battlefield 4 game and attracted the attention of many players.

What I said in MW5 was presented as missions. I would have liked to see them in a competitive environment.

Two new Legendary 'Mechs this month include the assault Quickdraw "Desperada", and the assault Timber Wolf "Howl" (see images below)

Assault quickdraw and timber wolf??
As far as I know quickdraw and timber wolf is heavy class mech

While Steel Shanks grabs that sorely-needed Guiness, I have a question.
Would the introduction of a Legendary Mech with a hefty buff to ATM range make this a good time for some official info regarding ATMs- specifically the damage/range brackets? It has been very difficult to find any authoritative info- though there are plenty of differing opinions about them offered with varying degrees of certainty in the forums, reddit, etc. Is this a lot to ask? Just some actual numbers.
I think the new mechs are good- they have personality. They're clearly not for everyone, and there is no pleasing some folks. I guess that's why there's Guiness?

We had nighttime operations in MWO, but it got complained about until it was removed. There was an actual glitch in the game code when the server tried to change the time of day mid-match, where it would spike everyone's ping for a second, but they threw the baby out with the bathwater and removed the variable start time with the time-change mechanic. I tried telling them that they just needed to increase the timer on the changeover to 35 minutes (something well beyond the length of any match, so it would try to do the "time change" after the match ended), but they removed it, entirely, instead.

As for drop decks, the "unforeseen consequence" that everyone is foreseeing is that when you allow builds to be selected based on map and mode, the games are going to become even more META and homogeneous than they are, already. Instead of having all-round builds, or the surprise brawler right at the end who's still fresh and clutches the game by wasting the shredded remains of the enemy team, literally everyone will be a sniper on long range maps, and literally everyone will be a brawler on short-ranged maps, and there won't be any variation to anything, anymore.

This is why my idea was for Omnimechs, only: Omnimechs you could literally survey the planet and change the loadout to match the specific mission in orbit before you landed. Battlemechs are configured at a factory, months or years before any of the battles they engage in, and are designed to either be specialized to a role in a larger military force, or are built with the ability to fight in any number of roles, not excelling at any one, in particular.

There is more meaningful variation than you are willing to concede and players will still choose mechs that aren't optimal for a map.

I am also unpersuaded by appeals to lore.

It is a travesty of this game, and a failing of the designers, that Omnimechs ("Omni" = "any") are less flexible/more restrictive, and Battlemechs are the more flexible, less restrictive 'mech option (further reinforced by the fact that, when it came to adding an Omnimech to the Legendary lineup, they removed its Omni properties and converted it into a Battlemech). By offering this flexibility to Omnimechs only, as was their original point and purpose, this gives them their unique flexibility back, and emphasizes their actual strength. In a firefight, Omnimechs and Battlemechs function more or less the same. The "Omni" bit is more of a logistical and maintenance advantage, allowing one 'mech to serve the role of many, or allowing it to leave damaged equipment behind for maintenance, and carrying replacement components into its next fight.

By reflecting this advantage in MWO, this would hopefully have opened the door to adding IS Omnimechs, which currently have none of the benefits, and all of the detriments, from being Omni in MWO. Allowing that level of flexibility gives them a reason for being, and a reason to take one of them over an equivalent IS Battlemech.

So, no more dropping with a mech that isn't suited for map xy? How tragic...

Event queue with drop decks is the most fun game mode at the moment we have by far. Something like that at every time? Hell yeah!

If you want to express your opinion, go ahead and say it. Let me speak as well. You speak too, but why are you attacking? I don't understand that. You want me to stay silent, but why should I? If you have a voice, I have one too. If you're a customer, I'm also a customer. Shouldn't I express my opinion? I see those who enter the game with strange nicknames. I see how civilized you are as well.

If I wanted to make fun of , believe me, I could do a better job. I don't need to engage in such behavior. I play this game to have fun, not to pick fights with others.

The guy changes his nickname just to mock me. What kind of people are you?

You're looking from your own perspective and giving advice. I'm looking from my own perspective and giving advice. I'm not trying to make you like my opinion because it's my own thought. Like it or not, it's up to you.

The info I gave you are not based on Guessing.
It's based on exactly knowing what that Timber is.... and that is not even based on the image posted.

The info you given? WRONG
Timberwold IS omni. If it is a mere, poor battlemech, FIX it!
The only viable excuse you desacrate and humiliate the Timberwolf is the following: WE SHALL HAVE SPHEROID OMNIS!
As someone noted, an omni could be downgrade to a battlemech but no sane person would do such a thing EVER.
OTH
Some IS mechs (Firestarter, Blackjack) could be upgraded to omni. Add 10 tons, make slightly bulkier and GO!
Otherwise forget the non-omni TBR. Enough crimes are comitted against humanity, really! If you hate Timberwolf, say it out loudly: "I HATE TIMBIES!"

Seriously, the community may announce a contest of "Worst Ideas Of 3050-75 Unabridged".

...

Yes, I am aggressive again! I have my moments...

That's nice gramps, but this is a video game that one use lore as flavor for the game other than that, I welcome the a Timberwolf battlemech it atleast it's a unique change and grants more leeway compare to last time they released a hero omnimech, and guess how that turned out.

For the quickdraw - Isn't the ghost limit on light ppc 3 already? +2 would give it more limit than energy slots.

Because Gauss (standard Gauss) tacks to PPC HSLs.

Ah, thought that light ppcs had their own deal split from the standard and heavy.

Why are patch notes being used as an advertising opportunity?

Because this is the only stuff we pay attention to? Plus they are part of the patch, technically.

I'm excited for both of the legendaries. I don't care that its a non omni, cause I never really cared that MWO was not a part of lore. It should be for fun, not for 'mUh LoRe'. Both seem to have a decent gimmick to them, light PPC with gauss, which sounds odd but I hope it works, and ATM's that can reach up to almost 500 M with 2.5 damage. Not consumable spam. I love this.

I hope those quirks that made you buy them aren't yanked like they've done to the other legendaries. I'm on a 90-day wait window on all legendaries after getting rug pulled more than once. I.e. if the quirks are still there in 90 days, let's go. Not a fan of paying to be a beta tester, only to have my purchase nerfed, severely. Especially when the Cauldron basically said "don't buy them then" when we complained about the post-purchase nerfs.

By far the best part of this so far is the drama the omni/battle mech fight is causing here and the socials.

I feel this is one step closer to IS omnis though. Blackhawk KU next legendary. You heard it here first.
