I'm just gonna say this, but the thought that The Clans should be the only faction who are allowed to have OmniMechs is a foolish notion. I welcome more change whether it's new mechs, maps and/or new weapons. MWO needs to change and I'll gladly pay top dollar for an IS OmniMech pack instead of packs based on Clan BattleMechs, Clan OmniMechs and IS BattleMechs.

I do hope that if IS Omnis come out someday, we could get some sort of public test and poll from the devs to see where people stand with the IS XL issue.

Ok everybody it's official, IS OmniMechs are coming to the game. Now first it's gonna be a Black Hawk KU for a testing point, but hopefully down the line, PGI will do other IS Omnis such as a Templar, Hauptmann, Men Shen, and others. So thank you all for keeping the discussion going casting your votes and voting in support of the mechs. I am so happy right now. I might get a mod to close down this thread later on.

Looks like someone has convinced pgi to keep the olde girl afloat a while longer. Guess that hardcore base that refuses to quit or stop spending on the game gets its day.

while is omnis is a thing ive wanted. i have to give this a resounding meh for being too little too late. with the population hovering at 16k. not only is it low but its hovering, meaning only the most die hard grognards remain, those who have already contributed significantly to the game. hard to call it a game anymore as much as a whale dairy.

I understand where you're coming from. There are things that PGI should have done, but didn't, so I get it. It's frustrating seeing progress being slowed to snail's pace or being ignored outright. It does amaze me that after all these years that PGI could have done something to improve the game they decided do it now. But hey as the saying goes, "better late than never." Still I am happy that we get to see IS Omnis despite this.

Apparently its enough loyal players with open wallets for marketing to ok doing this. So the game is still kicking in its autumn years. It should last at least long enough for the new pvp game to hit.

Exciting times, IS Omnimechs

Question: Does IS Omnimechs allow side torso swaps (besides the arms and legs swap)?

Just had a dream about a Catapult Omnimech, which (of course) does not exist. It had ballistic arms pods. So (in my dream) I built a catapult with 4 total ballistics, one in each arm and one per torso, AC5 x 4

reminds me of something i thought i saw in mwll, though it may have been mw4 mektek. otherwise sounds like it would make a good legendary.
