Many people I know in this game are a little older and a little more established career-wise. $500 might not have been that big of an expense for them, especially when supporting a game they enjoy.

Just saw a WHK-Prime(G) today!

(About 3 years ago, I saw: DWF-Prime(G), TBR-Prime(G), and SCR-Prime(G) all in a space of about 6 months)

for anyone that wants a Golden mech there is always the Kintaro- Golden Boy for MC (i picked one up from summer loot bag event going on as of this post)

Update Edit-- The Golden Boy turns out to be a rather good LRM boat it seems. that +30% missile velocity brings LRM close to what they were before the mega Velocity nerfs. with Skills it has preformed rather well for me. (loaded with 1 LRM-10, 4 LRM-5, and 3 MLs though it is running an XL so i have to be more careful with my positioning)
