Well Actually TOS doesn't even mention it with quick searching, but COC does.

"Under typical circumstances running alternate accounts is not prohibited, unless doing so violates a specific provision of this Code of Conduct. We understand that players may want to run accounts split between Clan and Inner Sphere, or operate a ‘new user’ account alongside their main account.
Be aware that severe violations of the Code of Conduct may result in moderation actions being enforced across all confirmed alternate accounts. "

And it kinda says "a ‘new user’ account alongside their main account." So seal clubbing once is okPosted Image.

As I said, everybody is free to create as many accounts as he wishes.

Having multiple alt accounts just to dodge T1 matchmaker could be somewhat against this though...
"Exploiting or manipulating the matchmaking system."

He can always say that he wishes to "operate a ‘new user’ account".

I think PGI's intent for "new user account" was probably so that players could create a new account to play with friends that are new to the game, and not to circumvent the tier matchmaker. /shrug

Probably. But good players will only benefit from starting over at T5 for a couple weeks, then they're right back up to facing off against T1 players regularly again. And that comes at the cost of not having all your mechs and cBills and GSP.

Which is when these seal clubbers create another new account over and over. The cost of not having all your mechs doesn't matter when you can kit out and often full skill a mech before even finishing the 25 cadet bonus games.

I guess it is more palatable now that trial mechs are fully skilled and decent builds. Personally I'd be bored with that after doing it once, but I switch up mechs quite often.

Maybe it was. But PGI has not put it in the rules.

As you can see in this very thread, some players like to create many "new user" accounts.

I don't care about anything you tryhards and guds rotate your entire lives around and it seems to anger them badly. Welp too bad?

And what do we "tryhards" and "guds" rotate our entire lives around? And no I do not Identify myself as "tryhard" or "guds" not even sure what that "guds" means... God's in Norwegian?

Well if I was breaking tos and coc via conduct don't you think I would have been nuked long ago through in game reports and complaints? 90% of my play is in t1 and you guys only know like three or four of my alts because I used them for streaming. You
apparently have zero clue about the others and it shows. Giggity... Posted Image

No idea why or if you get reported in game doesn't probably have anything to do with having punch of seal clubbing account, instead something you do in game.
I know not one of your alts name as I don't follow your stream or anyone else's really, couldn't care less.

So anyone else want to panty twist over something no one cares about but the easily offended?(which we have in ample supply it seems!)

From opinions in this thread clearly few people cares. I'm not offended, I just don't think that seal clubbing is OK.

One of the original points of this activity was if for some reason you see tier as a goal, just don't play potato builds in a potato way and you will max tier. The only thing affecting you over a large set of matches is your personal play choices.

Yes, some people have admitted they actively are griefing lower tier players- but it's only a few percent more likely they'd be on the enemy than your team- and that is balanced by their being more than 1 griefer in the playerbase.

If you have a problem with your personal performance, do something about it.

Ah sorry I guess the wall of quotes from whatsisname blended in with yours and I forgot the last few were yours.

As to the opinions in this thread a few forumites are not going to statistically represent the tens of thousands of lower tier players who make up the absolute bulk of the player base. Tier 1 is microscopic in size compared to that portion of the tiers. Thats why you rarely ever see the same players twice during a session when running up the tiers but it might as well be a private lobby by the time you hit tier 1.

Thats also a thing. 'Griefing' lower tier players as an alt would mean you are picking on specific players and using your experience to beat them up. Thats simply not possible because even during low pop there are more than enough low tiers in play to keep the rosters mixed up and you don't see the same players much if at all during prime. Unless you announce you are a smurf they would have no idea that you farming them is any different than their own tier farming them the last match.

Aaaaand if you are good enough to club then the game will kick you out of the low tiers asap. It's a self policing system. Buuut we have tryhards and glory hounds who get offended when the 'lower tiers' deign to act like they are decent players. Which by statistical definition any tier 3 player is considered average and decent. Thats the average of the pool after all. Tier 4 and 5 are the casuals and tier 2 and 1 are the tryhards and guds. Everyone has their space.

Yet when I drop in an alt with some notoriety like the meep meep alt I get constant voip and chat either saying damn glad your on our team this time or when other notables like navid or sneaky snek warn their team about me. Yep I hear it all the time. Lots of gg afterwards too.

I have zero clue who you or any other player playing the game are.
And as a principle, I never call out enemy players by name. When I call, I call mechs and their positions. Regardless of who is playing it. What Tier they are, or on what account they are.

Just to clarify, in case you have mistaken me with another player.

Also, interestingly enough, I have never heard sneaky snek warn his team about anyone. So maybe you can double check that too.

Yeah because I heard it over the stream when I sync dropped. Something along the lines of 'meep meep is trying to kill me watch out' or something similar when I had you red ct from the rear. Snek was running with brios in his stream and I heard him call me out on the other side to the team during the countdown to watch out for backstabs and flanks.

Why? Does it bother you? I mean all I do is play and rarely ever use chat or voip. I don't call anyone out or boast at all past some snark on the forums baiting the regulars. I had this one alt that was a pardody of the tryhards with Mr S A T A N and I was imitating ASH and other loudmouths but I guess the joke flew over the tryhards heads and they got their fee fees all twisty and stuff. Yet there is this massive hate ***** out there amongst the tryhards about me for some reason. Whatever. Makes for more targets I suppose. You lot do you.... Posted Image

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

edit; Btw, love the work you lot are doing in cauldron and the pirates bane buff was unneeded but hey I'll take the 30 or so skill points you freed up with all those juicy quirks and stick them in other areas. I'm not a hater at all. Shatty attitudes from some of the members towards those they deem inferior seem a bit problematic at times but meh who cares about persona. It's a pvp game and pvp games always attract the A types. Posted Image

I'm not really involved in the petty drama that goes on between people.
Just noticed you said something incorrect and wanted to clarify, besides that, you can do whatever you want in the game.

And again, I don't think I've ever said "meep meep" even once in my life, let alone using it in a sentence to call people. Maybe you heard someone else during the stream Posted Image .

No, it was you. No problems I'm not treating it like it was some shoutout to my all encompassing greatness and bragging about it in voip every other match. Just calling out the above poster who decided to take a swing at me on the forums. Sorry if I swing back. Posted Image
