Actually pretty surprised to see the Platinum Collections on sale. I've been wanting to get a few and I suppose now is the time to do it. Also please unlock all Stone Rhino variants with the Platinum skin with that particular reward!

this helps. need my clan and is standard rewards. i can buy what i need to get the final reward and have enough left over for the mw5 dlc.

though i do wish buying 12 legendary mechs was worth more than 2/7.

So, if you start at the "active player reward" (1/7), what would be the cheapest way to get to the ultimate reward this year?

During this sale, it would be:
Mechwarrior Credits reward: $6.95 for 2/7, also gets you 1625 MC, 1 mech bay, some cbills and a hero mech of your choice
Prime reward: $3 to get an UM-R68 Reinforcement pack for 3/7, also gets you the IFR-J
Or you invest $5.99 for the 13 mechbays bundle, still cheap for x/7.
edit: Or you get one of the 7$ a la carte hero mechs, those seem to count for both prime and IS or clan standard reward
Platinum reward: $7.50 for one of the 3 packs that only have 2 mechs, also gives platinum camo for both chassis and free choice of a 3rd (P) mech. 4/7
Stone Rhino reward: 40$, contains some mechs you'll rarely ever get to use in QP due to being assaults Posted Image Gets you the SR-1 (P), but no pattern unlock Posted Image . Also counts for the Clan Standard reward, but still quite steep price tag at $20 per x/7.
Clan Legend Reward: 15$, gets you the PIR-D
Clan Standard reward: Cheapest would be a 7$ clan hero, or it is unlocked with the Stone Rhino purchase, gets you the ADR-W (edit: also counts for the Prime reward!)
IS Legend reward: 15$, also includes UM-S
IS Standard reward: 7$ for a hero, also gets you the JR7-A (edit: also counts for the Prime reward!)

So $44.45 (omitting Stone Rhino and 1 Legend, so no SR-1(P) and no PIR-D or no UM-S)
Or $48.45 (omitting Stone Rhino and IS Standard, so no SR-1(P) and no JR7-A)

So $2.50+$3+$3=$8.50 saved on the "from 1/7 to 7/7" shopping spree.

I’m still somewhat new, so correct me if I am wrong. My understanding is that loyalty mechs are essentially variants of existing mechs with different hardpoints and a special camo pattern, that also receive a c-bill bonus when played. These variants later became available like regular mechs, but without the loyalty mech camo and c-bill bonus. Are those statements accurate?
If so, my question is:
In past years, when were the specs and camo patterns for that year’s loyalty mechs revealed? Did players have to wait until they received the mechs to see what they actually got?
That’s kinda fun, I guess, if the awarded mechs are seen simply as a bonus “thank you for your support” gesture at the end of the year. Free stuff is free stuff, and at least some of the past loyalty patterns have been pretty cool.
But the loyalty mechs are being mentioned BEFORE they are delivered, and are being presented as incentive for players to make a few extra purchases before the end of the year. They are being offered as value-added bonus content to sweeten the deal. Why then are we not being shown the specs and camo patterns ahead of time?
Am I the only one who thinks it is either a little crazy (or showing a huge degree of trust) to spend real money now for a special camo pattern and hardpoint layout you know nothing about? Maybe that's the "Loyalty" part?
I am all for supporting the game we love by occasionally spending money on unique mechs and customization. I just think being asked to do so without being shown what I'm buying until after I've bought it feels shabby.
