Really wish we could see more details on the new mechs (especially the Longbow, as I'm just tinsy bit worried it's gonna end up playing 2nd fiddle to the Stalker-3H on it's best variant, and be horribly outgunned on it's worse variants by mechs like the Archer-2S and Crusaders). Without fat skill points or some much needed hardpoint inflation (I.E. I hope those LRM-5s are in Medium or even Large Missile Hardpoints), the Longbow is just gonna be dead on arrival.

As for the Otomo mechs? Really hoping some thing makes them "special" other than the paintjob. My merc companies always have a strict policy of uniform paintjobs, so unique liveries get scrubbed off. More Skill points over their stock variants is kinda what I'm expecting, but I admit there's a strong desire to see Endo Steel and XLs in certain Otomo variants (like the Battlemaster and Mauler) which are going to be made obsolete in a few years after 3039 by the more advanced production models like the BLR-3M and MAL-1R.

Also secretly hoping Zed's Behemoth gets stealth added to the game like the BH 1 Marauder did. Seeing as a IS tech Stone Rhino was salvaged from the battle of Misery in 3028 by the Draconis Combine... Well, let's just say there's a canon supported means of introducing MWO latest and greatest mech to MW5.

I couldn't fathom the OP of this variant, but driving the LGB-0H with it's 26 Rocket Launcher 10s would be mighty fun Posted Image

Unfortunately, the MWO's maximum is 16 weapons.

I'm really looking forward to this campaign. I also believe that this addition will show the level of quality that you should expect from MW5: Clans.

I'm beginning to wonder if there would be a Clan cameo/teaser appearance as a 'surprise' at the end of the campaign of this Dragon's Gambit DLC... ;)
(Or at least that's what I would do, if I'm directing the direction of this DLC)

Maybe. The Clan Invasion begins a decade after the events of the Dragon's Gambit expansion pack.

Can't wait for this to drop. You have become better and better with each DLC and I hope that there is time for another one before Clans drop so you can polish your skills even more.

I think it would be good to do so, cause I think telling a story from a clans perspective who got annihilate in the end. Well that could be difficulte, depending on what route you take or if you let the player experiance a alternate timeline.
I think MW2 did that with the Wolf and Falcons standing before terra in the last cutscene of the game.

The problem is that there are not many big open important conflicts in the Inner Sphere in 3040s.
Of course, PGI can always come with some non-canon mercenary work or somesuch, but ...

I guess that the Dragon's Gambit expansion pack will be probably the last one for MW5: Mercs, and that after that PGI redirects its effort to MW5: Clans.

Well, Baldurs Gate 3, Starfield, Phantom Liberty and Dragons Gambit - can the life of a gamer be any more exciting?

Hell - No!

PS: It could if MW5 Clan would be a ******* MW5 DLC where i can chose sides - there is no way in hell i open an even eyelid for something i dislike so deeply if not for shooting AT that bane of humanity!

If you do not like that the MechWarrior 5: Clans revolves around the Smoke Jaguars, then simply do not buy it.

After almost thirty years, some people might like having the opportunity to play as a Clan Warrior.

Well, that is exactly what i do - while that does not mean i am envy of the fun you Clanners may have.
I wrote it elsewhere: Enjoy this addition to the Clan Era Mechwarrior games to you hearts content!

It is totally allowed to like different things :)

So, gekauft (purchased), although with all the Stuff currently/recently released it will be months, probably sometimes next year, b4 i can even get of thinking to play it.

But that is the beauty of a stand alone game - no hurry, the fun waits for you to catch up!

And thanks to GOG it is on my plate (SSD) and not at the mercy of others!
