Basically what the title asks. Has anyone tried playing the game on a Linux system? Does the Steam client run better or worse through Proton than the standalone client through WINE? Does either one even work at all? I'm going to be away from my Windows PC for a while and was considering just throwing together a cheap system to play the Halloween event in the meantime. I guess an easy way to tell would be to try to run it on a Steam Deck, but I don't have one.

I play MWO on Linux all the time. You need the Glorious Eggroll Proton version.

It runs better through Proton on Linux Mint than it does on Windows.
