I mean, its all doable, but it's dedicated work for each mech chassis. And this is evidently very low on the list of priorities.
They should have previous data of that also... or Russ deleted that by accident.

well if the bolt ons are submodels, and the scale factor affects the topmost container object then it should propagate down through the hierarchy and scale everything correctly.

bad coding practices: not retaining coders who know the codebase. leaving too many things hardcoded. not designing for long term support. not supporting gpu power states that came into being while the code was neglected (fullscreen bug, and that could be fixed bv writing an exception handler).
best games have the lead developer in bed with the company. if not the ceo directly, no further down than #3 in the food chain. they rise and fall with the company. ever wonder why various idtech engines have been extremely tight, its because john carmack ran the show. when he does talks he doesnt mention growth figures or market share, he talks about swizzle formats and memory paging.

I concur with the idea that rebalance decisions should at least get a cliffsnotes breakdown on the forums. I still don't understand the point of the TDR10SE change. I strongly doubt my feedback would matter a good god's damn but the rationale for the change should be posted here I think.
The fact they don't post reasons could be another reason entirely....

Even if you don't want to discuss or give feedback, y'all shouldn't have to wait for someone to repost to the forums and can get your information straight from the source.
The spread on HAGs was already so low that removing it doesn't really change much. But those heat nerfs are severe, and the cooldown nerf is moderate. It's a pretty big nerf to how much HAGs can farm.
So forums are an echo chamber... take a look at any highly contributed post to see people arguing from "white" to "black" and every "grey" tone between, whatever the matter is: lurms, lights, ...
Where the echo is? Perhaps you hear way more miscellaneous opinions, not in the Discord they shared, but in their closed door meetings of the "Highest and Magnificent True Game Balance Gurus"?
Are they even reading this forum, then discussing seriously about other thoughts out of their own echo chamber? For example, have been a lot of "negative echoes" about the latest spread reduction in HAGs. What we get? zero spread. Take a look at their discord "leak" post. Reactions: :thubs up: :diamond:  ... Echo echo echo....

my preference leans into ballistics pretty heavily. while i do take up devils advocate positions on lerms and lasers, its because i want the weaponry to be diverse and give the players build options and make the game in general more dynamic. constant normalization just makes everything more or less the same or marginally different and the gameplay becomes static as a result.

My Raven was one-shotted by dual HAG 30 last match from half across the map when I peeked and fired at an enemy. Balance my arse... So much for reason
So, why not make x pulse lasers equally nasty as HAGs, that when you get close to a heavy or assault you can saw through him in record time...too bad: heat restricts that and balances the weapon. And again we are at "risk vs reward". Nothing balances HAGs and the heat nerf won't do anything to prevent what I mentioned above

Their discord is also an Echo Chamber, it's just so happens it's filled with the people they agree with, and it's a space that they control instead.

Maybe just shut down the forums then if they're not going to use it.

Any place can be an echo-chamber, the issue here is more like trading one echo-chamber into another, and the kicker is that they control the conversation now. And the key people that have to make nice due to CoC, no longer has that incentive.
I also prefer forums with long-form write-ups so I can better prepare my thoughts, than a water-fall of chat-messages that I have a trouble following.

TBF, this is why most companies leverage threads (not in discord, more so on slack). Otherwise you end up with what they have which is a mess of a multiple conversations and having to "reply" to people to keep track of which one is which.
