Why did adding trees add to the hangar load time? Yall still using chimpazees for the coding?

Yeah, I don't like the much longer loading times. It's kind of nice to look at, but not worth the long load time.

Agreed. Good Windows 11 gaming PC here, serious load time on the mech bay, much worse than before.

Good intentions with unfortunate consequences. The impulse is appreciated, the unacceptably long load times are not.

Cut down all but one tree, leave the lights, see if that helps. Please.

Leave the lights, remove the trees, and replace them with a christmas decorated urbie for a tree.

I was hoping this thread was exaggerating.

Please remove hangar. Maybe just christmas textures or something, the tree models are taking ridiculous time to load for no apparent reason. It takes longer to get out of a match than into one.

It takes longer to load out of the match than playing the match.

Which is another thing. Those are pretty frequent. I play maybe two hours at a time, and I can expect at LEAST two disconnects. Its absurd. Then I have what? 7 loading screens to get back in just in time to see the light get through the last of my back armor?

Bug report

In approximately five to ten seconds after logging in, suddenly I was logged out of that cluttered Mechlab and returned to the Log-in screen.

I guess that the messed-up Mechlab could be to blame.

Yes, please fix the mech hangar loading times. Takes way too long to get back from a match.

We're aware and looking into it. From our findings so far, it's probably not the mechlab trees.

Old modified game engine held together by duct tape and clan coyote space magic. It has always been slow.

The patch exacerbated what was already an issue. The mech bay has always taken too long to load after a match. It's one of the biggest annoyances in the game. I've thought of writing a post about it several times.

Just keep whatever resources it loads in memory at all times so they don't have to be reloaded each time. The overhead in used RAM is worth getting rid of the annoying wait.
