A couple nights ago I encountered a stylish squad of police urbanmechs. They arrested everyone on the enemy team. Tragically there were no survivors.

Anyway I noticed quickly that they were actually Clan urbanmechs equipped with the police sirens which made me realize the K-9 lights and siren must be a bolt on.

But in the store I found the police lights bolt on on the k-9 page and favorited it, and yet it doesn’t show up for any other IS urbanmechs. So a few questions:

1. Am I missing it somehow or is the police lights bolt on only available for the k-9 and clan urbanmechs? Is it a separate bolt on for is and clan maybe?

2. The k-9 also has a red spinny light that syncs with the sirens in the cockpit. Is that a k-9 exclusive or can other urbanmechs get that too?

3. Bonus ?, the bolt ons are supposed to be on sale but when I click sale none appear. Is that bugged or am I doing it wrong?

Thank you very much for any assistance figuring out how to equip urbanmechs with sirens and lights. If you have any other active bolt on suggestions please share.

Ermmm... the K9 is the copper. they are standard on that mech, not a bolt on.

I havent looked thru the clanner urbie bolt ons, just slapped on the ones they gave me, but I know for positive they dont get the k9 paint, not even close.

I will have a look thru, and come back after a couple games tho, to update.

Nope no police bolt-ons for the IIcs.

You saw EITHER K9s or IIcs. Not both. Posted Image

I have never seen a non-K9 with lights. Maybe they intended to release lightbar bolt ons but never did perhaps?
Or maybe they released them for the urbanmech pre-order.

How'd you figure they were clantech to begin with?

They are labeled "Urbanmech IIc" and they look slightly different (flat top head). Plus can use heavy lasers. Not hard to know which yer lookin at.

I'm guessin he saw a mixed team. couple K9s and a couple IIcs wolfpacking together. Does sound like fun though, a K9 wolfpack pullin everyone over!

Well, that question was for OP, not you HauptmanT. I know how to differentiate IICs from normal Urbies Posted Image

Well in the camo page for the k-9 in the store the lights show up in the first bolt on spot for the head, that’s how I found them in the bolt on list. So that further confused me. Thank you for checking and coming back!

Thanks everyone for your replies. They had the Legendary mech names above their heads, “Hashké” so that’s how I knew. I guess it’s possible I mixed up which ones had lights and sirens since there were 4 gracefully gunning down all the, uhm, criminals on the enemy team.

But I could’ve sworn there were flashing lights directly below Hashkés name.

One of the free bolt-ons I got for my IIcs was exhaust pipes... they are kinda reflective... sorta. Heck I wouldnt be surprised if they spit flames... maybe that's wishful thinking.

Urbies are one of those mechs where you gotta collect em all. So pull the pin and buy the IIcs if you havent already. I build all mine with the biggest engine and most are short range knife fighters. I have like 2 that are mid-range poke. I just cant play them like they are supposed to be... slow. Just cant do that =P

Perhaps maybe perhaps MWO is experimenting with mixed IS+Clan weapons/equipment on the same mechs, and you've just happened to spot them toying around with this in the wild?

Perhaps maybe perhaps? ;)

Like all good UFO and Bigfoot stories, even though it would have been very easy to screenshot, and not much harder to record the match... there is somehow absolutely no evidence.

The K9 lights are boltons you can equip on the K9 or the Clan Urbie variants. However they cannot be bought in store, they can only be acquired by buying a K9, which comes with that bolton equipped stock. So you buy a K9, remove the lights, and put them on the Clan Urbie. That's how they were able to put them on their mechs.

THANK YOU! I thought I was going crazy here thinking I was almost positive that’s what I saw. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Actually not true in my case. I’m playing on steam deck right now. I don’t think it can record video and I don’t know how to get screenshots off of it and into another website.

ufos in the news just means the skunkworks has new toys to play with.

government is so cheap and unimaginative that they cannot even come up with a new cover story.
