Not sure if this has just never been noticed before or what but it's funny.

Almost thought what kind of terrible disease did our mech caught by playing MWO...

and what about us, what kind would we catch from playing MWO? ;)

Strabismus is just ocular misalignment (crosseyed/walleyed) and is typically either congenital or caused by injury.

Doubt it affects how the PPCs would fire but it's probably a peculiar side effect of the MCII's mount geo.

i think that's perspective trick. if it was an orthographic projection they would look completely parallel.

Will get pictures from other angles to verify but I am confident about what I am seeing, inconsequential as it is.

I hadn't noticed that before. But to be fair, all the weapon mounts would need to capable of significant yaw travel in order to converge at a given range. Maybe the Deathstrike's default setting is for "light mech hugging my face" range?

It is an assault.

It'd be too much work to simulate gimballed torso weapons (Marauder dorsal gun would be absolutely sick if it were actually dorsal and gimballed to follow arm mounts) but I can dream.

You know, that'd be a real fascinating quirk to add to some mechs -- torso mount guns that move like arm mounts. You'd have to nerf the machines in other areas to compensate but hoo *boy* would stuff like the Marauder feel better to play.

Snacc marauder would be absolutely lethal in close quarters. "I'll deadside and shoot you anyway while I do it." Freelook becomes godmode.

I know the Deathstrik is an assault mech. I was light-heartedly suggesting that the goofy-looking model is perhaps demonstrating the weapon position needed to hit a target at very close range (as the projectiles would converge mere meters in front of the mech). Like, say, a light mech that had run right up close to the Deathstrike.

I agree both that gimballed weapon mounts would look amazing and would also greatly complicate things.
