Pretty much every F2P game does a Winter/Christmas event, while some of them take pretty dedicated play for at least a week to get their "prizes". IMHO announcing what you're offering early and outlining what the event entails is helpful as it lets people that play more than 1 game plan out their time.

Cool, so then a classic poptart(jumpy) mech for Easter? Pink Archer for Valentines day? Catapult Jester for April Fools? Maybe a Kodiak event between November and April when the bears usually hibernate "Nosleep November Nuisance" and do an event for clan mechs in the Bearclaw cave. Or even a "New years resolution sale" on the new Advanced Sensor Package and some popular colors ;P

Lose the side torsos and you're down to 7 HS.Fairly sure that <10 HS caps max speed proportionally, ie 70%. ~75kph is not quick enough for a light with 30 CT armour to do much zombie stuff.

I'll be building around LFE to balance extra firepower against all centreline weapons.

Because it's a fairly short event in a specific time frame where most people take vacations. Giving advance warning gives them a chance to plan so that they can take part.

Actually I have no idea what to do with the Warhammer since they all more or less bring me bad luck whenever I tried playing with one :
- 6D with M and L pew pew = Meh at best...
- 6R with DAKKA + pew pew = Meh...
- 6R with Light PPC's and MG's = Survives longer but still... Meh...
- BlackWidow = Some good games with DAKKA + Light PPC's but basically still the wrong mech for it...

And now we get another 6R to play with... What the heck shall I do with it ?!?!

Hey Matt/Daeron, just to confirm, the event will end at the end-of-day on January 2nd according to the event page, which would be 7pm EST on January 2nd, correct?

I'll be out of the country from December 24th to January 1st, so I just want to be sure that I can get the mechs the day I return. Really looking forward to trying them out, the designs are neat!
