any chance we could get a free for all mode? ideally 4 to 8 player per match?

you could also add radar pings or zones to collect that would reveal all player for small amounts of time to stop players from hiding.

tie breakers could be decided based in remaining health and/or damage done

And why does whoever is updating this have a problem stating wether groups are allowed or not. On the urbie madness it was an unlimited group size which was actually kinda cool, it wasn't stated. Doesn't make sense how inconsistent the updates with the event info has been, I mean it really shouldn't be so difficult. Urbie madness was way cooler on Crimson so thanks for that change tho.

I would love to see Operation Pest Control with 12 v12 domination with only locust and fleas.

why is it almost always domination?
If it has to this game mode why does it have to be so short?> make the timer like 2-3 mins so you can feild your mechs.

too many domination drops where I only use one mech and the timer runs out. that makes no time to develop a decent score.

No farming on 3x c-bill match with 4 mechs seems to defeat the whole idea.

Hope someone from PGI really reads these posts!

FP lately suffer from some BUGZ...
When enough player gathered and come the map\mode screen where decks could be chosen the timer runs out... Nothing happens?
WAIT!
Something about no servers detected? Everyone dropped and need to re-queue! And sometimes it cause the previously selected deck to locked in a non-existing match!

May someone check it before infest the other modes... Mayhaps, o templar?!

PGI what is this current event?!?!
100 ton mechs, drop-deck and Domination on a Caustic Valley?!? First wave gets knocked out and its GGs since it will get counted out. Slow 100 tonners trying to reach Domination circle? Umm yeah, good luck.

Example: We win first wave, enemy trickles in one-by-one until we count it down. Got through one mech, match ended three seconds after I drop in my second:

Domination in EQ is really bad (especially in Drop Decks) I want to shoot big stompy robits and not die 1 time and auto-lose right after it. If PGI really wants to do Domination in EQ - use FP timers and not QP ones.

Had such a good game now and had 2 more mechs left, but game was finished half way because 100 tonn assaults are too slow to get out of circle even if you really want to

As always, events requiring a specific mech exclude some players, especially when you need a drop deck of the same mech. For example, the current event requires a drop deck of 4x 100 ton mechs.

My acct has 82 mechs, 16 of which are assaults. 3 80s, 3 85s, 3 90s, 5 95s and 2 100s. So no event for me.

And hell no, I'm not blowing like half of my acct's money, which has taken who knows how many matches to build up, so that I can buy a couple of 100 ton assaults that are usually good for little more than farming in this game's broken *** soup queue.

Agree 100%. I guess there is some strategy in this but for most players it ain't fun trudging back to circle and losing 6-5...

Edit: I figured I would give it another few tries... but I forgot MWO doesn't have Assaults anymore, just 100T snipers. What fun.

I felt the same way, but after a few matches I really like the mode as it is. Not only do you have to ensure your mechs are fast enough, you also have to decide when to switch to a new mech to not lose the clock race, in other words, drop timing becomes much more important. It's not just a brawl-fest, long range mechs are still useful and even if I don't get to use the whole drop deck most of the time, the fights are fun and I still manage to earn way more c-bills than in QP.

Like Solaris, you have to build your mechs a little differently than what is used in QP or FP.

I think it would be fun to have one round of unlimited ammo + unlimited heat, with some additional armor, so you get to enjoy the insane firepower everyone is throwing around for a bit longer. Unlimited ammo has been very enjoyable, but I think removing the limiter on energy builds as well will lead to even crazier builds running around. Maybe like this:

8v8
Groups 1-2
Drop Deck
285 Max Tonnage
[Map]
Skirmish
100% more armor
Unlimited Ammo
Unlimited Heat Dissipation/No Overheating
3x CBill and XP Rewards

I'm not sure what map would work well for this, as you have both huge alphas as well as insane sustained DPS - I'd say Caustic Valley, if we didn't just have it. Frozen City could be cool Posted Image

that event was so fun and I had no issue getting to the ring, but the matches were pretty short, I never used a third mech.
