I think running it once in a Blue Moon is fine (To remind everyone how bad the game mode is).
At least it’s not a Quick Play Mode anymore!
Drop-decks really gave Attackers the advantage, was way better once it went to single drops.
Out of the entire time I played attacker (with drop-decks), I only had one loss.
I’d prefer not to play Escort in future Event Queues, I certainly won’t miss the mode.

No worries, It was attackers win 100% of the time. *Makes me wonder if anyone won defending ...on deck of 4, just curious.

Since it is Lunar New Year, and it is Year of the Dragon, can we get an 8v8 Dragon's only on Terra Therma (or Crucible)?

Well, I only played one match, was on the attacking team, and we got pretty well trounced, so... That defending team won. The match lasted 10 minutes, and the kill counter was something like 2-12 at the end of the match (so very little of the drop decks were actually used. I only got to use three of my four 'mechs, sprinting to the fight without grouping up each time, which, the fact that the whole team was doing the same thing, is likely a large part of why we lost: no team cohesion).

it would be interesting to see the ratio of offense vs defense wins in Escort after they got rid of the drop decks.

Finally got a shot at scort...we lost as attackers...

Also...the VIP doesn't fight back....thats kinda silly, he just walk around taking everything one throws at him.

At least if all the scort dies, and the VIP is alone, it should fight back. In a match, the VIP got killed by the last surviving attacker in view of the pick up ship.

I don't know but I feel this game mode has potential as an even every so couple if weeks ir something.

Hey this Escort's actually pretty fun, wouldn't mind it if you brought it back, first time I've run Escort & I've been on 3 years!

I always thought escort had the potential for fun games, and being the only asymmetrical gamemode to ever exist in QP was interesting. It just also had a lot of anticlimatic games where the VIP goes somewhere dumb and gets hammered into dust by a bunch of dakka/sniper assaults 2 minutes into the match.

Mediums only certainly helped (no Ultraviolets killing the VIP in 30 seconds from 1km+); there were still some matches that ended quickly due to VIP leeroying, but I didn't see any that ended without any fighting at all. I even think dropdeck would've been fine if the the VIP had maybe 1.5~2x as much armor as it does. It's still sort of a silly gamemode and probably shouldn't go back in QP even with tweaks, but it's perfectly fine for EQ.

Yeah, the VIP has never fought back. I don't think it's technically equipped with weapons. It also travels more slowly than the 48 kph an Atlas should be capable of. I'm not sure if it's all the way down at 32, but it's somewhere in there.

Personally, it would make more sense if it was a vehicle convoy. That's part of where I keep getting the Mobile Field Base from MechWarrior 3 from, as an idea. That entire game was basically one big Escort mission, because you had your supply trucks that you had to keep safe, while clearing mission areas of enemies and objectives. If it could repair teammates, it might even feel "worth protecting" to those more cynical among the MWO community. There was the occasional backstab during the original Escort days of someone who got out-voted on the Mode selection, and just team-killed the VIP so they could play a different match. Finally, if the Company Commander (Battle Grid) could tell the convoy where to go, you could avoid situations where you know the enemy team is camped just over the Crimson Strait Saddle, and all you can do is watch as the VIP just marches up and over, like a complete idiot. One of the things that was always a surprise to the attackers and defenders, alike, was the evac zone. You don't know where that's going to be until the dropship arrives, usually (I think if you're close enough to see it, there's green smoke, but that only shows up a minute before the Dropship does). The defenders should start the game with that marked on their minimap.

Bummer that the Clan only and IS only can't be running at the same time. I've missed the IS 1v1 and I don't clan mech. Stupid me sleeping during the night!

First. These que events are fun. Keep em coming.

Second. Been fdropping all along on this latest even all weekend. BUT! With the right now incursion I tried to drop 3 x. All 3... Wait... Wait.... Wait. Aha got one then wait through the circle of yellow and get to the screen where it is supposed to show teams. BUT! No team just kicks me back to lobby with "no available servers at this time. Please try later."

What? So if no server wjhy did I go through the drop que que? Think there might be a bug in this latest drop que with the 275 limit on tonnes and Incursion. If it is a bug at least a few others must be experiencing this. Or? Maybe it's not you... It's me. (Whaaaaa)

Weird. No issues here thankfully. I would try a different deck, enabling all the servers under the little arrow near Quick Play (although that should not be related, really), **Running Repair tool** in the MWO Client patcher

Actually - YES, this just started happening, So you are not alone.
