This still running? Don't let him draw you into this circle-conversation any further, just leave him be. As many other mechs / variants BKs might get tuned (or not) in the future ... object lessons for simplistic and tendentious campaigning certainly ain't helping though.

Can you translate that to something more readily intelligible?

All black knights need "tuned"

This is not a post about just the reaper 2, as ive said like 8 times

I will happily wait for the black knight's queue in line if other mechs need addressed first

I never said im the only one who knows how to use a black knight, my friend.
I said im (just about) as good as it gets

What is your basis for this claim that you throw out pretty much every page of this thread?

Friend of mine played mostly BK for heavies last season and claimed it to be stupid good... leaderboards

Orion is all about hitbox issues and hardpoint mounts.

People often call it the "Mini Atlas", and rightly so.

It has a huge torso, high cockpit, and waist high weapon pods with wide arms, which make it suitable for flat terrain and brawling.

Orion can put long range weapons on, but its usefulness is going to be very limited.

So its been tuned to 200-350 meter range brawl attacks, for most variants.

Having more armor is a balance, because its going to be up front and tanking alot of damage, and its huge Box CT is easy to hit at all forward angles.

This could be tuned better, but its an updated build with newer equipment available since the early days.

Another fun build was the ON1-V with dual LB10x with or without backup lasers.

There are only two chassis I do not own at least a single variant of, the Black Knight of one of them. Posted Image

Even the atlas at least has the high mount missile launcher.

I got excited when I read they were moving some mounts higher, them I saw it was just a minor adjustment.

There are too many hills in this game to run a mech with no hill poking ability.

The Adder is the other mech chassis I don't own at least one variant of. I ran the erppc trial adder a few times, for a special event. It was unimpressive, and there are far better options available.

I only own some Orions because i got them in the free mech events.

I hate mechs with low mount, the clan version at least has a few high mount missiles, which are barely sufficient to do much with. 1xLL, 2xHAG20, and a couple of LRM 20's and a tag do OK, most other builds (especially mid to long rang) just run too hot with clan tech.

You monster. No one deserves that.

In any case, this is definitely an instance of "don't feed the troll." There are a number of people who got a sweet deal on a duplex on Dunnin-Kruger street, and will just keep on babbling on so they can pretend they won when people get tired of arguing with a brick that had to ride the short bus to masonry school. Once they pull out the name-calling, it's best to just call them on it and leave - as tempting as it is to just keep slapping them around.

On the other hand, a sufficiently advanced troll is indistinguishable from a genuine kook - perhaps it simply assumes him.

There is no vindicator variant that can have 3 large pulse and gauss just because hard points... ignoring at this point that it is kinda hefty loadout (36 tons w/o ammo) for 45 tonner.

I already have 79 dmg 6b 2 binary 2 large 5 er medium

Its 1.03/2 heat. Its xl. 75 kph. And its pretty much made if glass. But I figured man these black knight side torsos keep popping. Maybe i need to go bigger on dmg and stop close range.

It seemed to be decent at first, despite the incredibly bad heat management

But as the number of matches increased, the. Overall performance was worse compared to my close range black knights.
My side torsos were rhe weakest link

But it assumes me.

And your naked fanboy partisanism in the face of all facts to the contrary is invalid and wrong.

No, no its the heat management. You have more lazors than you can use.

Speaking of which... why 2 binaries and 2 larges? You can't fire them at the same time. Are you just trying to fill tonnage? Because I have a suggestion...

https://mwo.nav-alph...0f9d1_BL-6B-KNT

You don't have to max out the hardpoints, its more important to be able to fire what you've got. Dumping those two large lasers, adding heat sinks, and switching to a light engine increases heat management and survivability.
