I think if the reaper 2 is to redeem any of the theme of the original reaper, it should not have more than a -5% heat quirk. What it needs is something interesting. Like +1 snppc heatsink limit, or crit chance quirks+ side torso structure, or targeting time quirks, or small laser cooldown and range quirks, or srms velocity and range quirks. Something interesting. I think heat would be a good quirk to add, and it is the reaper 2 after all not the reaper. But, Id like to see the reaper 2 try to become more like the mech I envisioned.
The Red Reaper should have been released as follows imho:
Mxpl range quirks and cooldown quirks. Heavy ppc or snub quirks with 2 energy hard points in left torso, not one; to simulate the ppc capacitor. If they wanted to simulate a sword, they should have added a ballistic hard point, however I understand that would make the reaper 2 more similar to the partisan.
And it should have had ecm. Why? Because its a lone vigilante mech. How else could a black knight thats bright red get close enough to enemies to do anything.
That, and obviously, if you read sarna, you will come to a plot line that is somewhat hidden where the pilot finds something special that I believe he utilized.
