I heard some chatter on a live stream (can't recall where) that there was some consideration about making this mech immune to destruction when you loose a side torso. Is this the case, or was it just wishful thinking on who said it.

If I'm hazarding a guess here. I'd say the next IS Omni will be the Non-XL versions of the Strider and/or the Sunder. Many will want both. Which would make for a good Booster Pack. Like they did with the Charger/Hatamoto-Chi.

We'll just have to wait and see.

That's wishful thinking. It was part of the debate in cauldron leading up to the development on this mech.
