For better or worse our business model has been to have timed exclusivity on new mech content.
............... More Packs on Steam(with regional Pricing),

Hi Matt,

Please consider releasing mech packs on Steam as well. Some countries like mine have issues with international credit card transaction or even UPI payment options when passing through 3rd party vendors like XSolla. Most of the newer mech packs that are exclusive to MWO store were bought using my friend's card as he uses a different bank lol.

Steam has no issues which is where I buy the Legends or the recent Otomo and Black Hawk packs.

wait a new mech, for 45-70 dollars, wow I have to buy it now...but wait there was something else....

Oh yes, the stupid people are slaughtered because PGI doesn't give a damn whether there is even an MM.
I mean, hey...I think it's really great to throw 70 down your throat after 15 lost games in a series, yes, with so many defeats it's really fun...

It could just be the Quickplay, so we start Faction Play...well I go shopping/shower/cook...read War and Peace...and oh wonder, after waiting less than 8 hours, a game even starts...so grab your wallet again...
Wait a minute, there's that one player again who probably has a few 1000 reports because he uses aimbots, why is he still playing...weird...

Oh how great the guy hits everything and everyone after less than 1ms aim time, and always in the same spot... awesome, and he also boasts of over 2000 headshots, which were achieved thanks to his incredible skill, but for a moment I want to spend money ....

Hmm, so Quickplay is just **** without MM, you can only play FP after waiting 8 hours (if at all) and then you get killed by the aimbotter....

****, why should you buy the package if you just don't do anything to make this game fun?

Oh, I know the solution, I'll buy 2x Helldivers 2 for myself and my son instead of investing 70.- in a "skin" that I won't enjoy in any game mode.

i don't think the thumper would be a fair weapon in MWO just give the bullshark artillery consumable quirks

A Thumper would be a lot like LRMs; if it's good enough to justify the opportunity costs of its tonnage (in direct-fire weapons, LRMs, etc,) its ability to fire indirect would be devastating - a balance point would be very, very hard to do.

I'm also not sure that the game's engine allows for indirect dumbfire weapons like that, but I don't know.

PS: The Bull Shark is a great 'mech choice; I enjoyed seeing it in HBS Battletech, and it looks like a fun chassis, whether or not I decide to buy it. I'm also uncertain why people I see matched with me in matches insist that there is "no matchmaker," but that's really an entirely different thread.

I do think the matchmaker is a bit flawed ,but the biggest problem is that groups do not get their own que.

the thumper doesn't seem like something the clans would use with current doctrine

This, and coupling arc/trajectory mechanics with AOE like air/artillery into the same weapon will require more work than the current level of developer support allows or they are willing to pay for.

Particularly with an outdated engine whose developer didn't support MWO's development very well in the first place.

Oh, that's not so much a problem with the matchmaker's design as a known issue due to player count, unfortunately. Interestingly (to me, anyway,) premade groups are not always an advantage to the team they're on. I've seen a lot of premades over the years who decided that PuGs are stupid and unreliable, so they'd go off and do their own thing to the side. After that, it was just a matter of luck and bias confirmation.

If the PuGs held out long enough for the premades to do their 1337 flank, or farm sniper damage, or whatever, the premade obviously saved the day; if the PuGs folded 8v12 (or 4v8) well, PuGs suck, right? And if the enemy noticed the premade and merked them first, the PuGs just didn't support them, so that's why. In reality, most premades have better outcomes if they advise their team, then do what they can to help the team do whatever it decides to do.

Still an opt in que( for PuGs) would help all cases.

One artillery 'Mech pilot rose quickly from Clan MechWarrior to Star Captain, so obviously he is considered to be honorable enough.

If the Guy's a Hell's Horses, that's not an argument in favor of it being honorable overall.

They do combined arms. Mech pilots *period* in the Hell's Horses rarely go up in the ranks because they see Mechs as solely Support units.

Generally new content is released for MC about 6 months after it first launches, and then if it goes to cbills it takes another 3 months. Note, this won't happen for Legend mechs; those are considered heroes for game currency release and will only be available for MC.
