So I just logged in with a different pc and I was greeted with a refund ledger screen in the main menu. About 11mil c bills and 1000mc and a bunch of modules etc.

However nothing was actually added back into my account.
Is this a bug? Have I missed something? Has there been any refunds for gameplay changes recently?

From your description, it sounds like a bug.

Nope, those would be very old. The announcement was probably still queued up in the launcher somehow, but the refund itself was probably applied to your account long ago.

You could put in a support ticket on it.

All in all, it seems that there is a new bug, but quite harmless. You just confirm that out-of-date ledger and that would be all.

that is your original ledger from when we went to skill tree (no big deal)

I had been having trouble with MWO and started seeing that a lot (before I gave up)

you will have to go into your settings and reset up everything

This happened to me on my founders account when I logged in after reinstalling on a new pc. I was like wut then realized it was just the old refund ledger.

Could it be your Redeemed Lootbags (Christmas 2023, March/April 2024, etc.)?

Since it is a new PC, and sounds like you didnt copy over any files, then it is due to logging in for the first time. Most of that info is when the new Skill Tree went live. It is like the FP pop up, once read then that line changes from NO (not read) to Yes (read ) for different things. Most folks here may re-install MWO but they rarely clear the folders in the Saved Games folder. For those who may have copied things over, the file/folder may have been marked Read Only, preventing any updates to be saved.

It is located in the Attributes.xml file in the C:\Users\PC name\Saved Games\MechWarrior Online\Profiles\Toons name folder.

No such refunds have happened for years.

I actually did do that at first haha. But no refund message or anything like that. Then I logged into my founders account which I've logged into only a few months ago and got the refund ledger message.

you know what, this is the second time this has happened in the last month or so. the refund ledger was from way back when the skill tree was first implemented. it seems to be coming back up for some people. i may have got it when i tried the game out on my steam deck too now that i think of it, and most of the refunds have been spent by now. just ignore it.
