Why should anyone have to get another account on a third party piece of software? It also requires a phone number which i currently do not have. Such measures make it seem to me like they want to hide something.

??? I know that Telegram requires a phone number, but Discord? They verify accounts with an email OR phone number.

And you don't need to join discord to get that information. It gets publically released once a month. The only benefit from joining is finding out some information five seconds ahead of everyone else.

When i tried to sign up to the discord it asked me for a phone number.

Dunno what to tell you, just made an alt account, no phone number required.

The next patch is this month, there's usually 1 per month.

The patches usually come out in the third week of a given month. A few days beforehand they'll be an announcement with a summary of the changes. The monthly free mech is usually announced around the 10th of a given month.

If I knew the actual date I would have said so, or linked you. The devs don't give specific dates until it is quite close.

They linked you a handy guide to basic Roman numerals, which is easier and better that typing it out. I would guess that martian doesn't speak latin, but was probably taught Roman numerals in either math class or history class. I mean, I learned how to do multiplication the way Romans did it in highschool, and it's a little easier in ways compared how it was taught in elementary school. Roman numerals were touched on then, and also in history class. I am guessing the older players are in the same boat as I, so if someone assumes something is common knowledge, they're right for most people.

Lastly, it was likely done to troll you a bit.. as you seem to be a bit of a troll yourself. Most have been giving you the benefit of the doubt since you're new, but that'll stop if you keep doing that.

Games typically keep a regular patch update schedule.
If someone responding, didn't know, they could: not respond, say "I don't know." instead you saw what I was given, as a new player i'd hope to not be treated like i was.

Some schools don't teach stuff that's not commonly used alot

There's not a specific day of the month that patches "always come out on". I gave you the most current info at the time.
