Atlas Kraken with classic ballistic+missile build, with a bit of laser:
(Varied the engine / Strucure / Armor to show OP the variations possible):

LE325 Kraken, fully armor, max cooling with weight savings from MPL>>ERML (Standard Structure, Standard Armor)
AS7-K: AC20 + MRM40 + 4xERML + LE325 (almost 53 kph)
https://mwo.nav-alph...=fb43fe2f_AS7-K

LE325 Kraken, fully armor, lots of cooling: (Standard Structure, LFF Armor)
AS7-K: AC20 + MRM40 + 4xMPL + LE325 (almost 53 kph)
https://mwo.nav-alph...=71378ea3_AS7-K

LE350 Karken, faster, but less armor and much hotter: (Endo Structure, Standard Armor)
AS7-K: AC20 + MRM40 + 4xMPL + LE350 (almost 57 kph)
https://mwo.nav-alph...=a9bfd2ef_AS7-K

Pro tip:
1) Try to standardise on these engines for IS mechs: LE280 / LE300 / LE325
2) Try to standardise on these engines for Clan mechs: XL280 / XL300 / XL325 / XL350
3) When your monthly CBills balance average out at ~50 Million CBills, it'll be time to stock up with above engines when it's on 50% Off Engine sale!
4) For IS mechs espcially, the usual optimal solution is: LE engine + Endo Structure + Standard Armor.
Saves you money switching back and forth for the Structure/Armor, gets you very MWO poor quickly.
From my own experience; learnt it the hard way!

I bought the Otomo Pack and the legendary clan UrbanMech.

My loadout for the Atlas is for the moment:
  • 1x AC/20
  • 2x MRM30
  • 5x Small Lasers
  • Targeting Computer Mk2
  • Standard 325 Engine

I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much. I also have a few more questions: What is the difference between IS and Clan mechs, and why is it recommended to standardize the engines as LE/XL for each faction? Why is the optimal solution LE engine + Endo Structure + Standard Armor?

These are the engine break size points where you can fit one more DHS into the engine, saving you space: 280/300/325/350/375/400.
If enough space is saved, you can further optimize into Endo Structure or LFF Armor, for further weight savings (more weapons, DHS, or armor).

1. IS mechs: LE350 is harder to achieve without compromise (less weapons/ammo/DHS/armor).
Hence common IS engines used are: LE280 / LE300 / LE325; stock up on these when on sale.

When there's engine sale, how would you stock up with LE310 / LE320 / LE290 and odd-sized engines like that?
(Advice: don't buy these odd above engine sizes!)

Hence common IS engines used are: LE280 / LE300 / LE325; stock up on these when on sale.

(I would recommend that once you have a stock of IS LE-engines, then buy Clan XL-engines, and then lastly buy IS XL-engines**.)

2. Clan engines: XL280 / XL300 / XL325 / XL350 is much more common; stock up on these!
(Clan weapons lighter but runs hotter, need more DHS, but Clan DHS also more compact than IS's DHS).

3. When does a Mech die?

3a) IS: LE-engine mechs dies when both LT+RT destroyed. But with one side torso destroyed, you still survive in a crippled mech; more new-player friendly.

3b ) IS: XL-engine mechs dies when just one side torso destroyed.
Hence IS XL-engine is much less new-player friendly.
(Tradeoff is that you get faster engine or more weapons usually. Look at my CPLT-K2(O) example here).

3c) Clan XL-engine: mechs dies when both side torso destroyed.
Hence IS XL-engine is much less new-player friendly.
