I've had a couple of close calls over the years (7 kills), one in a 6xLPL ECM STK-3FB on Hibernal Rift, one in a 6xSNPPC Awesome 8Q on Solaris City, those games are still etched in my memory.

Took many years of work to get here, and some blind, stupid luck...

getting an ace with 10 tons of ammo on a mostly ammo constrained build is impressive. using lb2s none the less. before i got mine my closest 2 attempts were on ballistics mechs, running out of ammo was the usual failure mode even though i had the opportunity to get number 8. then i get 9 with a stupid quad ppc+srm bracket build.

9 tons, look closer, two of those are half tons.

Same loadout on this match yesterday, 1506dmg, ran out of ammo fighting the last mech, finished him off with a couple bursts of 2xML

sorry im old and cant read small.

the backups make it possible, especially late game. one 7-kill run on an ac5 banshee i had some small lasers. but the last guy, a very near dead spider, ran away and hid.

Congrats, AoS, quite an achievement! And getting that 1500+ damage game is too

1. Just one minor tidbit: You can upgrade LE275>>LE280 engine for a slight boost; these two engines weight the same!
(Actually: IS LE275>>LE280, IS XL275>>XL280, and Clan XL275>>XL280 can upgrade with no weight penalty)

I used the basic scorch LBX20/SRMA6 build. What, and who I must credit for this enevor, were my team mates. When I realized I had already aquired 6 kills, I hollered out, I need 2 more kills for my Ace of Spades. Needless to say, they didn't push the final few shots to get the kill, and allowed me to pick them up. PS: The Last Shot, I was zero'd on ammo!

Thanks for pointing that out. I probably used whatever engine I already owned. I'll be sure to upgrade ASAP.

The only one I keep stored in my brain is Clan 250XL = weight of Clan 255XL

When it gets down to flea weights, it gets very interesting, trading heat sinks for engine size, usually at a half tonne increments

I myself do not recall when I got my Ace of Spades but I think it was in my trusty Nova-Prime (stock or back then prolly 10 erml) with some lucky kill shots and some solo kills. Can I look that up somewhere?

im also crazy.

10t is still impressive. i got over 500 games in my ultraviolet, mostly on the 8x cac2 build. it has like 12t and its always running out of ammo. it never even got close to ace.
