As for the BANE-2 feeling underwhelming, many Cauldron members felt the same way. There were requests to buff the BANE-2 last week and majority of them were in favor of it. However the due date for November patch content had already passed and I am very leery about last second snap buffs without proper time to deliberate it. I sidelined the BANE-2 buff out of caution since I was worried we would hastily make a monster. If it as weak as everyone is fearing, it will certainly be buffed in December patch.
I know it's easy to sensationalize how a mech performs right out the gate, call it busted, call it DOA, or whatever label you want to apply to it. But balance is a fluid act and just because it's not perfect in one month doesn't mean it won't change the next. Things are always shifting until we feel they're in the right place and the Bane won't be an exception. So just give it time, if it's not right it'll be made right.

Better you release it weak an buff it later than you release it strong and have to nerf it later.

Maybe you can be the first Mechwarrior game to give us the singer/wasp, the most common mechs in the BT universe, that we never get to use.
Or something newer and cooler. New stuff has been so assault heavy. A show assault with no armour just feels like a bad compromise. Wish that post came out before i placed my order.

As to a light mech, PGI have already said that the next new mech chassis is a Clan light omnimech.

I kind of dig the “glass cannon” approach. It brings a new dynamic. Hopefully it won’t be a “glass cannon” that can only go 48.6 KPH.
Nevertheless Im still gonna buy it.

Its also worth noting that any buffs would be out sooner than a month since the Dec patch comes out on the 10th

Fair enough! I didn't say I wouldn't buy it, hell I have already decided that I will very soon, but the Glass Cannon comment and seeing armor values closer to a Madcat MKII for a 100 tonner and the very wide side toros...That's how mechs die fast. The very high mounts and large shielding arms might make up for it, but even those will probably need buffs soon. I really like the way it looks, but form and functionality are a hallmark of a reliable chassis. Maybe give it more torso speed and YAW to help in twisting away incoming damage or just higher mobility in general, guess we'll have to wait and see.
I do agree with everything you are saying, just pointing out what a lot of us are all ready seeing as potential weaknesses vs cash purchases, but I guess I'd rather have it weak and buffed later than too strong and see it robbed of strength.

face-palm, so just wait until December then decide if you want it ?? old saying in my industry, "it takes twice as long to do it wrong"
another note, Gauzilla is a monster, Warlord is a beast, no matter how powerful a mech is you gotta know how to pilot it, so bring it on lets see what it gots !!

I'm just tired of my side torso going from 100% armor to orange internal because I turned the wrong corner, saying it would be game breaking was hyperbolic but I like playing 35 and 40 ton mechs which are already not in a very good spot. It is a cool looking mech, I don't want it to be DOA and I know its partially my fault for playing a niche few mechs, however these loadouts look like my worst nightmare.

I think it was explained in the past that the original coders are looooong gone and no one knows how to make the spaghetti code work that function. Otherwise I think we'd have seen it a long time ago, especially with ammo type switching. Plus CryEngine is obsolete at this point and probably not worth the further investment in figuring that out.

There is quite a high chance for us to get a firemoth. To my knowledge, Tiyos said "Next mech is going to be a light clan omnimech, which is available at the start of the invasion.
