Until people learn to look at maps as "north/east/south/west" instead of "left/right" you're not going to see much changes.
I think Hellebore is like the best example of people actually figuring that out surprisingly, with everyone always going to the east side of the map rather than just going "to the right" though I do wish some people would see the value of using the west side of the map to flank the other team now and then.

Are you talking about how both teams rush to the opposite side of the map, before we start shooting?
Yeah, it's hilarious, unless you are in a slow brawler.

To be fair as a solo dropper who prefers to flank and hit rears having isolated easy meat early game is very nice.

It's simple psychology. Players want to play actively after sitting in queue for 10 minutes, not some sort of hide'n'seek. So they seek for fight. And even losing while playing actively is better, than just idling. And players, who hide somewhere just to "live longer" - are exact reason, why matches are lost.

One - the maps are too small.
Two - the spawn points are fixed, they should make them random around the map.
Three - terrain is a major factor in winning or losing the fight. Getting to the best spot you can reach from your spawn dictates where you go.
Four - you are dropping with random people, with random builds, and random skill, a erppc guy is looking at the map different than the guy in the srm build.
Five - PGI place the dominate terrain in the center of the map.

Usually i rush to the center to get a few quick shots off to try and get them defensive (at least 2-3) and hold back while my team can get into position does not work all the time some people just don't feel threatened by a lowly locust
