MECHWARRIOR ONLINE LEGENDS
COMMUNITY UPDATE

Greetings, MechWarriors!

We’re here with a community update for MechWarrior Online: Legends as we navigate recent staffing changes at Piranha Games.

First off, a huge thank you to the team members who’ve contributed so much to MWO over the years. Your hard work and enthusiasm have made the game what it is today! We also want to thank The Cauldron and MWO Comp teams for their tireless efforts to keep the game fresh and engaging.

Most importantly, thank you to our players, content creators, and streamers who keep the lasers firing, the components breaking, and the victories rolling in. Your dedication is the reason MWO is still alive and thriving.

Alright, enough sentimentality—let’s talk about the future!

What’s Coming to MWO Legends in 2025?
  • We may have a smaller team, but our passion for MWO is as strong as ever. Here’s a look at what’s on the horizon:

Events, Challenges, and Sales
  • Challenges, Free Monthly Mechs, and Loot Bag Events are here to stay!
  • Event Queue and Faction Play will see some updates as new designers bring fresh ideas. (Did you catch Scouting Mode a few days back?)
  • Expect in-game sales every patch, along with themed sales sprinkled throughout the year.
  • We’re committed to supporting MWO Comp 2025 and will connect with the team soon.
  • The Annual Rewards Program will continue, but we’re exploring ways to streamline the process.

Patches and Mech Content
  • The Wolf Dragoons Booster Pack arrives this month!
  • The Fire Moth launches in February. (We’ve decided to skip the preorder phase and make it available as soon as it’s in-game!)
  • Expect more new mechs, new legends, and booster packs throughout the year.
  • Collaborations with The Cauldron will continue to bring exciting balance changes.

Maps
We’re exploring several options to keep maps fresh and exciting:
  • Updating existing maps with improved art, lighting, spawn points, objectives, and layouts.
  • Bringing back classic maps or older versions of current ones.

A Final Note
With a smaller team, there may be some bumps along the way—missed dates, smaller patches, or the occasional mistake. But rest assured, we remain committed to delivering the best experience possible for you, our amazing community.

See you on the battlefield,
The MechWarrior Online Team

Daeron, aka Bombadil, will be leaving as well as Paul Inouye. Both have been with us since the game started, and they will deeply missed by all. Sad to see this happen, but that's how it goes in game biz. :(

So you're finally bringing back scouting in Faction play. I hope you make it worth doing it.

All the best for this year and hopefully the team can keep going after losing some important members; all the best to them as well.

Consider releasing all of the mech packs on Steam instead of just Legends and Booster packs. That way more people won't have to deal with Xsolla. That is my only request.

First off - thank you to everyone on the team for your efforts in helping to improve the game, keep it alive, and make it fun for us players. It's sad to see so many good people being let go due to budgeting constraints. I wish them all the best in their future work, and if they need a content creator shoutout for any of their projects, just hit me up.

I'm also glad you guys ended up posting this information to share your plans for the rest of the year with us. With deep changes like this month there is always a lot of uncertainty and half-truths thrown around, so it's very good to know you are going to keep supporting and adding to the game. Can't wait to see what else you have cooking for us in 2025!

Looking forward to playing the old versions of several maps, will you be releasing the original maps or classic versions?
Would love to play on the original/classic versions of HPG Manifold and Polar Highlands.

Would love to see more Solaris map Event Queues as wellPosted Image

1)Make a paid customization of the pilot in the cockpit, let people do whatever they want with them and pay you money for it
2)add demo recording
3make it possible to write in chat while searching for a match
4)add filters to the mech store: Sphere, Clan, ECM, why do people have to look through dozens of mechs to find what they are looking for
5)add a damage indicator to testing ground, like in quake champions, when you hit an enemy, damage numbers will pop up above him (optional in the settings)
6)Return maps with high water level (flooded canyon, in spring and autumn it is flooded and green, and in summer it is dry and without water)
7)Bring back the incursion, bring back the day and night cycle (can be added as an option for voting, on the map and mode selection screen)

Just wanted to thank all of the Piranha Games staff, both those staying and leaving us, for all of your hard work on the game. The game that you all are entrusted with has been a highlight of my 2024.

We need more Siege!

And maybe you can do a 12vs12 Siege weekend event with double HP and unlimited ammo :D

What was the Tukayid event. I read the books and know the lore. Was it a huge battle with more than 24 mechs?

When they shut down the servers I would recommend a last huge battle, open for all, no limitations
