Remove Skirmish

I believe most people play every game mode as skirmish and get toxic when other players play the game mode, so imo there is no point in having skirmish mode.

Now let the trolls commence...

Skirmish already pays way too little, and everything else devolves into it like you said. So yeah, that Skirmish Game Mode needs to go bye-bye forever. Toxic people need to learn that their way of thinking should change, and that having Objectives beyond shooting one's opponents is good & allowed to exist so the masses can enjoy. :D

Can't help but agree. But personally I'd rather get rid of conquest. I seen an idea for an URBIE DURBY that looked fun.

You would end up at odds with me over that one. I personally have a hefty Like for the "Conquest" Game Mode and desire to keep it around permanently. Why, you ask? Game Modes like the "Conquest" Game Mode encourage active exploration of Maps and learning how one can use them in their absolute entirety, thereby ensuring work done by that Map's developer(s) does not ever go to waste. I even wish they would add an extra little Bonus Payment if the 750 Goal is reached, but done without completely wiping out all Enemy Mechs on the battlefield during a given Match being played. B)

Of course, this also means I wish PGI's MWO Staff would increase the "Capture Success" Award over on "Assault" Game Mode in order to encourage Base Capturing over killing an entire Enemy Team placed upon such battlefields. Somewhere around like five (5) times the current payout (in other words, something like how "Conquest" Game Mode gives around 75000 (C-Bills) instead of only a meager 15000 (C-Bills) being paid for success) would be proper and rather seriously suitable. ^_^

Before you think I'm done, that's not all! There are things like "Escort" Game Mode needing be reintroduced as a symmetric format with both Teams each getting their own VIP to protect during battle. So many good Events got screwed up by not having that as part of the format. I speak of problems made worse by a MatchMaker which was utterly insensitive over consideration of Event Situations in order to give everyone at least one chance minimum on certain Event Challenge Objectives being requested for completion, and it has left a gap in enjoyable options since! If that's not all, there is still the standing fact that removal of "Escort" Game Mode also wiped away a call to players for using their minds, and implementing tactics & strategy over distribution of forces. These are mistakes which PGI's MWO Staff could really learn from, and then go forward to set right by making this mode playable once again with all necessary fixes included. :(

And finally there is that missing "Incursion" Game Mode needing reintroduction where those Base Parts (which paid 35000 (C-Bills) each on destruction) along with some number of turrets should have all been possible to NARC and/or TAG during any given Match played, thus preventing rendering part of the MWO Weapons Lineup inoperable under certain circumstances. Sorry that this must be said, but PGI's MWO Staff really thoroughly missed an opportunity here for showing how well they could design. Along with that non-present better design, there was also missing how well they could encourage Teamwork & Communication from players during battles, and they have never recovered from it when success would be a massive chance for them to shine. :angry:
