Must be misremembering but I thought we weren't going to have a pre-order for the FIremoth?
Might have been about it coming out for MC in the store quicker or something I'm mixing up I guess?

I don't think transition to MC/cbills has anything to do with the pre-order date, especially since the active in game date doesn't change. They might've said it to be conservative in setting expectations following the layoff when they weren't sure what they could deliver in what timeframe.

In December in the holiday email we said we would have the fire moth preorder up in January.
In early January (in the community update) we said
"The Fire Moth launches in February. (We’ve decided to skip the preorder phase and make it available as soon as it’s in-game!)"
We were not sure if we could get the Preorder up before the Feb Patch so we decided the Mech Pack would be for sale on Patch day with no "Preorder" phase where you paid before the Mech was available.
Since then we have managed to get the assets and information available to put the pack up for preorder.
with all that said MC and C-Bill dates would still be the same regardless of when we put up the Preorder.

Just an observation: the specs page lists the 'mech's base speed as 162kph, but the max speed as 48.6 kph (Dire Wolf speed). Is that a practical joke that folks are going to experience when they use MASC on the first day, or is that a typo left over from the template used to create the page?

Awesome. using this is gonna make me wish the clan narrator had the voice of the MW2 trainer instead of the generic gruff guy we got now.

Will you ever do more of the XP boosting cockpit items? Those alone make the preorder an absolutely amazing deal.

This is great! I was hoping we'd get the A variant, too, but that's something to look forward to in the future.

The A variant is a scout variant and has only a streak missile. Nothing else. So if you want that variant, it's only viable from using hardpoints. Blame FASA/Catalyst Game Labs for the variant. Me, personally, I'd've gone with MGs, a missile, and a couple of energy hps.

It also has AMS and a Tag. Yes, I would want it for its hardpoints.

YES!!!!!
I've been waiting for this mech for 10 years. Now to finally see it after all this time, it is an instabuy for me. I don't care if the speed is not where it is traditionally, childhood nostalgia is a drug. I'm gonna be blasting tunes Mechwarrior 2 OST when I play this mech. Thank you PGI for doing this.

Also who remembers the Mechwarrior 2 instructor who helped pushed this mech to popularity?:

Thank you PGI!! ❤ I'd been feeling very neglected with the number of consecutive Assault chassis, so I am super happy to see a lighter chassis again! I also like the choice of Firemoth to complement the current 20-ton options, so I doubly appreciate it!

The moment Wolf's Dragoon pack became available on Steam, I purchased it. Like I said in the previous topic, Xsolla on this website refuses transactions from my country. Would you please consider having the Firemoth on Steam as well? It'd be greatly appreciated.
