Once you get beat a few times, you know you aren't going to be the winner in a 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2?
There's usually going to be a few people running around. Optimize your build, perhaps switch to a different chassis and try again.

The only real incentive is still winning?
Since it runs along the Lucky Charms, it's going to be an excellent way to grind the bags rapidly.

And if a build is in the game, why is it "exploitive" to use it?
The notion that it is is just pure scrub talk. This said, there have been some fairly toxic people playing the mode before and probably will be again

What are they doing, winning?
Yes, and some lower-skilled players are sore losers.

...."full time"? nah... if solaris events run full time there will be no pressure on the player to log in. but by making it an event with in a limited time window to participate and reap the rewards of course, PGI will actually bring players in out of fear of missing on....it's kinda whats Im pretty sure happening right now since the lucky charms event started (pretty sure player population peaked), we have seen it before like how easy it is to find matches in faction play whenever there was an event that rewarded participation in it? hmm?
Exactly. When Solaris was still a regular mode, people logged into it at the start of a new season, played maybe for two weeks and then almost everyone left anyway.

Since it's an EQ event there will probably be the 3x C-Bills so that even if you're losing lots you will be making a lot of C-Bills.
Plus the loot bags. You'll be able to run through a match every couple minutes.
