You can access the "Free Look" while pressing "Left Control" key when you are playing your mech, during QP, FP, Event, or Testing Grounds.

You can also check the default keybinds by pressing [F1] when you are playing your mech.

Do have fun customising your keyboard controls! :)

i used to run with a trackir, ultimately retired it because there are too many stray ir sources in the room. also had this annoying issue where the reticle could be off by a lot requiring frequent re-centering. was missing a lot of shots. could probibly do a dll swap with like freetrack or facetracknoir, though its been some time since i messed around with head tracking software. was messing with an imu to see if i could get head tracking that way, but ultimately decided to shelf the project (gyros drift ffs). simpler solution might be to compile a custom dll that just maps out to a couple joystick axes.

If your arms are unlocked they will follow where you're looking when you hold left control to look around. I believe you can stop this by locking your arms (you can set a keybind to toggle this)
