Don't be dumber than you can help. Nothing Vix said suggests your clumsy straw man - you just sort of skimmed her response looking for a "gotcha" moment and failed basic English literacy. Come back when you're willing to read what's actually on the page.

Let me be clear - Vix is right. In fact, she doesn't go far enough - because Assault pilots will also be playing under a sword of Damocles, one bad streak away from being arbitrarily punished by the game. Your idea is stupid; it will penalize players for having bad matches, punishing innovation and encouraging bad play in order to avoid being punished again. If you had your way, it would significantly damage gameplay, and likely destroy the game in short order. Sit down.

I'm not sure where this elitist attitude comes from. The theory they put forward was ill conceived based on pure conjecture, while it's true that not every assault is necessarily designed to be a Frontline fighter because of the nature of mech design, most will in fact be required to participate. If you've read my posts and I'm sure you haven't, based on your past comment where you posted a stat board on my performance. You don't have any qualifying arguments other than attacks on characters and hollow assertions. I'm not going to stoop to your childish level but your inability to have civil discourse and apparently inflated ego pushes me to remind you that acting like this in a real life scenario would have everyone in the vicinity staring at you awkwardly. You (hopefully) would not be speaking to anyone in this manner.

So going forward in this thread I will be ignoring you as you have nothing to add to the discussion that is remotely relevant. Go outside, and if possible take a shower.

Imagine the hurdles needed to believe this stretch of imagination. You should write for hollywood! Clearly the lights should be the tanks that push up, the mediums should take the blows for heavies, and assaults should sit in spawn so their paintjobs don't get dinged. Honestly you people... no wonder the game is in the state it's in.

You do realize Kursed Vixzen was saying, a team should support their assaults, right? As in... move with them. Shoot what they shoot. Give intel so assaults can position better to face the enemy. Etc.

He isn't saying to have your light mech tank damage for an assault mech (somehow), or that assault mechs should sit at spawn and only shoot at long ranges.

Your poorly stated post here makes it sound like it is being suggested that the team should abandon assault mechs to operate on their own with no support. That is how you lose your assault mechs fast in a match.

AKA: This is about working as a team and using tactics, not about solo adventure and face rushing the enemy with no consideration to your team or logical actions.

Vix just disagreed with him, so he made up some lies that were easier to refute, and attributed them to her - then accused me of doing that same thing to him when I objected. In Akuumer's Bad Faith Fairyland, any objection to his misconduct is an "attack on character," and any facts presented or arguments made are "hollow assertions." He's a dishonest, wannabe elitist who can't back anything up, in-game or on the forums. His unwillingness to even be honest, while arguing for one of the worst ideas in MWO history, is all you need to know about him. Since he's unwilling to put down the thesaurus and argue in good faith, there's really no point in engaging with him or his silly arguments.

We are talking about someone who's account is about a month old, and only has 7 posts under his belt. There is a reason I told him that I didn't believe he had enough experience in the game to make such an observation yet. Not to mention, according to the Jarls, he has never played a heavy nor assault mech before. I still advise Akuumer to play in a heavy and assault mech for a few matches, then come back here with that experience. Would he, after spending the time in game to save the credits to purchase and customize/optimize the build, suddenly want to be denied the chance to use and earn skill points on his new shiny assault mech? Then answer would be no. No one would want to suddenly be unable to use their new shiny toy because "I didn't do very well with it for a couple of matches" or whatever the threshold would be for this suggestion. It would only serve to drive even more people away than it would to drive people into playing this game...

Turning other people's opinions and views into an argument that wasn't even related to the person's original statement, and then burning that strawman isn't going to suddenly validate someone who has no experience on the topic. I'm not trying to invalidate his opinion, but I am saying he doesn't have enough information/experience to make any actual real conclusion on the subject.
